The quarterfinals have arrived for 6A Central Texas football teams. Now, only four Central Texas teams remain with Steele, Westlake, Vandegrift and Hays. All these teams face each other this week which creates some tough matchups given the amount of talent each team posses. These are the players to keep an eye on this week from each team.

1. Steele vs Westlake (Saturday at 2 p.m.)

  • Grey Nakfoor (W) - Although the spotlight was on junior quarterback Cade KlubnikCadeKlubnik6'2" | QBAustin Westlake | 2022TX last week when he thew for 300-plus yards and four touchdowns, the senior Nakfoor also had a big day with 68 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Nakfoor has been a consistent scorer, scoring a rushing touchdown every game this season for a total of 17. He also has 677 rushing yards to boot. Considering Nakfoor’s consistency, he is one to watch considering there is always a chance for him to explode. This is especially the case since he scored the most touchdowns against Stevens than he has all season.
  • Josh Fahrner (S) - For the other team, it is also the running back to keep an eye out. The junior back Fahrner scored one touchdown and rushed for 89
