The former college and professional players turned trainers are helping to raise the level of many local players and it has shown already throughout the fall season.
Let’s take a look at some of the top recruits honing their craft at Different Breed.
John Pastore, 2022, 6’5, 290 lbs, Erie High School
This kid has got some big things coming to him based on his size alone. But for his size, “Big John” Pastore moves almost like a tight end and reminds Gabe Knapton and others of a young Nate Solder. This fall, he set a state record for blocked kicks with nine in just five games. Pastore can rush the passer but probably has the highest ceiling as a tackle at the next level. Pastore, who is developing rapidly in his technique, is very quick when he gets back in his kick step and has the potential to play Division-I football.
Congratulation to #70 John Pastore on setting a new state record for blocked kicks in a single season. @johnpastore70 blocked an amazing 9 kicks in 5 games! Check out the video of all 9 blocks from Chad Jamison. @AdamCHSAA @BoCoPreps @ErieHSAthletics #Exit232 #BlockParty pic.twitter.com/EnwDNiWpnh

Braydon Rowe, 2021, 6’4, 215 lbs, WR/OLB/DB, Erie High School
In the gym more than anyone else, Rowe currently has offers to play at Chadron State and the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. When you look at him, he’s tall but also has long arms, making him a big target with a wide catch radius as a receiver. Rowe has also gotten much stronger and he is still growing. Given his large frame and potential to add good weight, Rowe could end up as a tight end in college. The Tigers senior caught two touchdowns this past fall and it’s reasonable to believe he could have had more if Erie’s Week 1 starting quarterback was not injured and missed most of the season.
Christopher Baum Christopher Baum 6'3" | DL Frederick | 2022 State CO , 2022, 6’1, 217 lbs, TE/DL, Frederick High School
Probably headed to a smaller school, Baum is a tough player who looks like his best fit could be as an interior defensive lineman. Baum has reportedly been working hard on his pass rush technique so he can get the most out of his strength and quickness. After a solid junior campaign with Frederick this fall, he’ll be looking for a big senior season in order to turn some heads and capture the collegiate opportunity he seeks.

Chris Cinocco, 2021, 6’2, 225 lbs, G/DL, Frederick High School
Cinocco is a smart player who is known for being solid and consistent, both on the football field and in the weight room. He also has good strength and versatility, playing offensive guard and linebacker. Baum was third on the Warriors team in tackles and second in tackles for a loss. Capable of becoming an interior lineman or a linebacker at the next level, Baum is interested in a military school where he can continue to play football.
Mason Veve Mason Veve 5'9" | RB Erie | 2021 State CO , 2021, 5’10, 195 lbs, RB/WR, Erie High School
A tough kid with great intangibles, Veve recently committed as a preferred walk-on to Colorado State University. Possible the strongest kid at the gym despite being far from the biggest, Veve has also developed his explosiveness and has good burst on the football field. He runs the ball hard and is very physical, and still found a way to shine on special teams while playing through some injuries this year.
Committed to Colorado State University!!! So thankful! GO RAMS!🐏🟢🐏 @CoachBWhiteRams @ErieTigersFB @CSUFootball pic.twitter.com/nVGnz8f7sd
