The offensive line talent in the 2021 class is a great spectacle to see if want to see players of great size and athleticism to be able to move well in space and demonstrating the strength to move opposing defenders from point A to point B. Here is a look at five 2021 offensive linemen that are from the DMV!
Landon Tengwall Landon Tengwall 6'6" | 300 lbs | OL Good Counsel | 2021 State MD 6-6 305 Good Counsel High School (Maryland)
The athletic Penn State commit demonstrates a natural ability to work well in space reaching the second level and get good hand placement on linebackers and drive them out with ease. He demonstrates the ability to engage in initial contact while maintaining good knee bend and base and balance while setting in pass protection.
Jimto Obidegwu Jimto Obidegwu 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Archbishop Carroll | 2021 State MD 6-5 285 Archbishop Carroll High School (Washington DC)
A key word to describe the Temple commit is “explosive” and he demonstrates that by coming off the ball with low consistent leverage due to being natural knee bender and shocks the defender with an initial shock off the line. He displays the ability to be confindant in his pass protection mechanics and hits his landmarks in his kick step with ease.
Tristan Leigh 6-6 295 Robinson High School (Virgina)
This offensive lineman is a natural athlete and that can be seen by the body control he displays in pass protection, demostrating a strong core which allows to have a set base and balance to anchor against oncoming pass rushers. In the run game he shows the ability to quick position the defender with base leverage and run his feet on contact.
Logan Taylor 6-8 280 Episcopal High School (Virginia)
The huge athletic Virginia offensive tackle commit demonstrates quick light feet when adjusting in space to seal off a defender off the edge,showing the suddenness to gain the advantage quickly and effectively on the defender. While watching him in pass protection he demonstrates patient heavy landing good directed strikes on the defender, he also shows the ability reset his hands to gain a better leverage.
Andrew Adair Andrew Adair 6'4" | 310 lbs | OL St. Frances | 2021 State MD 6-4 310 St.Frances Academy (Maryland)
The versatile aggressive Liberty interior offensive line commit, demonstrates the ability to to have good control and displays the ability to adjust the depth and angle if needed on the kickout out block.He shows the ability to sustain blocks quickly and effectively, especially at the second level when shows to lock on to linebackers and drive them out of the running lanes.
