Needles had a pretty good year catching the ball for the SF Lincoln Patriots. He seemed to be in the role of a possession type, getting to the sticks on all of his routes when he makes a catch. He is a good route-runner, has good hands and good speed on the deep routes.
Derek Eidsness Derek Eidsness 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR West Central | 2021 State – West Central
In a run heavy offense, it can be difficult to be a WR on it, but Eidsness found ways to make the most of it. He was a wing on the offensive unit, he got the ball a lot on sweeps, which he broke for big gains and scores. When they did pass he ran good routes and went up for the ball and came down with it. He has good speed to either outrun the defense or burn his DB deep.
Ethyn Rollinger Ethyn Rollinger 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Harrisburg | 2021 State – Harrisburg
Rollinger was a good vertical threat this past season. He did a good job shaking his DB at the line and speeding by him for the big play. He does a good job keeping the deep off balance as well, setting him up in the opposite direction of where he’s going to run, He was a reliable target, making sure he was going to get those deep passes, no matter what.
Braden Goehring Braden Goehring 5'8" | 165 lbs | WR Mobridge/Pollock | 2021 State – Mobridge/Pollock
Braden Goehring Braden Goehring 5'8" | 165 lbs | WR Mobridge/Pollock | 2021 State was both a vertical and a short game threat. Waiting for the ball on screens, then torching the defense after catching the ball. Vertically, he gets off the snap quickly and outruns the DB down the field for a big play. He is very shifty, but is also good at the one cut and using his speed to get down field.
Bryston Goehring Bryston Goehring 6'1" | 160 lbs | WR Mobridge/Pollock | 2021 State – Mobridge/Pollock
Bryston Goehring Bryston Goehring 6'1" | 160 lbs | WR Mobridge/Pollock | 2021 State was mostly used as a vertical threat. On film, he seemed slow off the ball, but after three steps he was still passing the DB with ease. After catching the ball he had good balanced when shaking off his tackler, then sprinting to the end zone. He is also shifty, but definitely has a lot of speed to him.
Carter Bergheim Carter Bergheim 5'10" | 145 lbs | WR Madison | 2021 State – Madison
Bergheim is a good slot receiver, runs good routes and is probably the go-to third down or red zone receiver. He also has some break away speed on vertical routes. He had some games with a lot of yards after the catch, he has lots of agility, good vision and just an eye for open space while securing a catch.
Hunter Paysen Hunter Paysen 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Aberdeen Central | 2021 State – Aberdeen Central
Paysen was a pretty good playmaker for Aberdeen Central. They used him in the slot and out wide as well. He ran some pretty good routes and had good technique with his feet and hands when shaking defenders. When running routes, he always seemed to find his way to open space to make catches easier.
Mekeih Hon– Lead-Deadwood
Hon is a vertical threat for big plays. A very long and lanky WR with a good set of hands to be scary in one-on-one coverage for a big play. He mostly ran fade routes, but he was able to make the play on most passes, real good target for long yardage situations.
