Top Five Wide Receivers Class 2022
In this article:
The wide receivers class for the class of 2022 is a talented one for the state of Arkansas. With several division one type talents that will headline this class. We are going to examine five wide receivers that will make headlines as attention shifts to the class of 2022.
Quincey McAdoo Quincey McAdoo 6'3" | 175 lbs | WR Clarendon | 2022 State AR -Clarendon High School
McAdoo is an athletic playmaker that does a little bit of everything for Clarendon. The Lions have made McAdoo the go to wide receiver in the offense. McAdoo is a great athlete and has no trouble in high pointing the football. McAdoo’s hands are not an issue and he can make the tough reception look easy. Clarendon moves him all over the football field. However, he projects to more of a wide receiver at the division one ranking and he has the potential to be a playmaker on Saturdays.
Isaiah Sategna Isaiah Sategna 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2022 State AR -Fayetteville High School
Sategna has dangerous speed on the field and on the track. Sategna runs very crisp routes and uses his speed well. The speed he has keeps the defensive back off balance. Fayetteville has done a great job of getting him involved in the offense and always finding a way to get him the ball late in the game. He has elite division one level speed, and he will be playing major college football on Saturdays. Fayetteville has a number of talented players and the Bulldogs will be a team to keep eye on next season. However, Sategna’s recruiting has started to blow up now and he will headline a wide receivers’ class that is deep.
Jaishon Davis Jaishon Davis 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Arkadelphia | 2022 State AR -Arkadelphia High School
Davis is a red zone threat. He does a fantastic job of using his athletic ability to separate from defensive backs. Davis uses his impressive athletic ability to gain the separation and he has a tendency to make it look really easy. Arkadelphia has lined up Davis all over the field and he is dangerous as a receiver and a running back. Davis is another wide receiver in this recruiting class that possesses division one talent. Scouts and fans should look for Davis to have a big senior season next season.
Dewayne Ashford-Crossett High School
Ashford is one of those physical wide receivers that is a nightmare for opposing cornerbacks to cover. Ashford has good hands; he will not drop a pass that he should catch. He runs good routes, and I would expect him to improve on those during the offseason and during seven-on-seven play. Ashford has the potential to explode next season and I would expect his recruiting to heat up over the next few months.
Cooper Smith-Bentonville High School
When turning on the tape to watch the Bentonville offense, one player always seemed to be open on passing routes. Cooper Smith is a wide receiver that always seems to get open. He runs impressive routes and does a good job of keeping the defensive back guessing. Smith does a good job at being able tot gain separation by running the precise routes. Smith is another wide receiver that I expect to see blow up over the next few months. The offseason and the seven-on-seven play will be huge for Smith. Look for big things to develop for him.
