In eight years of football, the Gators have six winning seasons and routinely advanced at least once in the playoffs. That was no different this year, when Blair Hardin’s team went on the road to take down Fort Dorchester in the opening round.
There’s some solace in the fact that River Bluff’s two losses came against who they did (Sumter and Dutch Fork). Regardless, the Gators’ latest crop of seniors gave college recruiters plenty of film in expedited fashion. Every one of these players has at least one small-school offer, with potentially more on the way before any of them sign.
JAKARI DAVIS, DE
The 6-foot-1, 300-pound lineman is an absolute load, as opposing offensive players found out in the team’s six games this year. Davis had 29 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks in limited action.
RILEY MYERS, RB
The Gators’ best offensive weapon nearly averaged two touchdowns per game in 2020. He finished the season with 11 scores and 698 rushing yards and had a four-touchdown, 200-yards game in the process.
ADAM MOLNAR, LB
The 195-pound middle linebacker didn’t pile up 64 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two interceptions by accident. He’s got great form in open space and doesn’t mind jumping into a scrum when needed.
EJ DUNN, WR
At 6-foot-4, you’d expect to see a season highlight reel full of fade routes and stuff on the edges. However, the majority of Dunn’s receptions this season were across the middle of the field, where contact was almost always waiting.
