The review of football players in Western North Carolina continues.  The next group of players up for review are the wide receivers.  Five wide receivers made the cut.  The players listed are the best in the area:

#1.  Rodney McDay, 6’1” 180 – T.C. Roberson HS.  Displays a quick first-step to get behind the defender to make the catch for long runs and scores often.  He displays good speed in the open field.  The expectations are high as he prepares for the upcoming season.  The FCS offers should start to come in for him.

#2.  Austin Poe, 6’1” 180 – Ashe County HS.  Runs good pass routes and maneuvers past the defender for big gains, scoring frequently.  He makes catches in traffic.  He is expected to continue to improve as he prepares for the upcoming season.  The FCS offers should start to come in for him.

#3.  Carter Lindsay, 5’11” 180 – A. C. Reynolds HS.  Runs pass routes well which enables him to separate from the defender to make the catch.  He is tough to bring down after making the catch.  He is expected to continue to improve as he prepares for the season.  The D2
