2021 Rankings Top 30 Newcomers Part 3: 21-30

 

Here is our last of the top newcomers to our rankings. They are ranked in order with their overall rankings listed next to their position.

 

#104 LB Colin BryantColinBryant6'3" | LBWando | 2021StateSC, Wando, 6’3, 205

Wando standout Colin BryantColinBryant6'3" | LBWando | 2021StateSC was named honorable All-Lowcountry in 2020 where he had a good year from his linebacker position.  He can run well and has good closing speed. One reason he flew under the radar was that he did not have gaudy production but with some development he could be a steal for the FCS or D2 level.

 

#107 OL Caleb GodfreeCalebGodfree6'2" | OLCarolina Forest | 2021StateSC, Carolina Forest, 6’2, 285

Godfree played left guard for Carolina Forest and also can play center. He was a Class 5A First-Team All-State selection and All-Region pick. He plays with heavy hands and has good strength.

 

#108 LB Adam MolnarAdamMolnar6'1" | LBRiver Bluff | 2021StateSC, River Bluff, 6’1, 195

This tweener prospect was a Class 5A First-Team All-State selection who displayed good ball skills and speed. He could potentially be a strong safety in college with his speed and ability to stop the run.

He could potentially be a strong safety in college with his speed and ability to stop the run.   #110 WR Nazeviah BurrisNazeviahBurris6'0" | WRByrnes | 2021StateSC, Byrnes, 6’0, 175 Burris was selected to the South Carolina Shrine Bowl squad and Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State pick for his play this year.  He was a big play threat for Byrnes who has good route runner and change of direction ability.   #111 DE Deondre SmithDeondreSmith6'3" | DLCane Bay | 2021StateSC, Cane Bay, 6’3, 245 Smith had a fantastic senior year as he was named Class 5A First-Team All-State and Honorable Mention All-Lowcountry. He is very good against the run displaying good power and strength.   #120 DB Joshua Calloway Jr, Chapin, 6’0, 170 Calloway finished with 45 tackles and two tackles for loss in 2020. He was also named Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State.   #124 DB EJ BradfordEJBradford6'1" | DBGreer | 2021StateSC, Greer, 6’1, 180 Bradford was named Class 4A First-Team All-State on defense but he also plays running back and shows good vision to hit the correct opening and make a big play. He is a good two-way player who should be a steal for a FCS program.   #130 DE Naejuan BarberNaejuanBarber6'2" | DLRidge View | 2021StateSC, Ridge View, 6’2, 220 One player who really showed out on film in 2020 is Barber who was named Class 5A First-Team All-State. He finished second on his team with 44 tackles and led them with 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks.   #132 WR/RB Dariyan PendergrassDariyanPendergrass5'10" | WRHartsville | 2021StateSC, Hartsville, 5’10, 175 Last of our top 30 additions is a player who really has an argument for being snubbed on the preseason list. Pendergrass was named to the 2020 South Carolina Shrine Bowl squad and Class 4A First-Team All-State. He can make big plays as a receiver or running back. You likely won’t see him play college football though because he is committed to South Carolina as a baseball player.   #134 DB John Javis IVJohnJavis IV5'10" | DBSpartanburg | 2021StateSC, Spartanburg, 5’10, 175 Javis was named a Class 5A First-Team All-State selection as a senior. The senior corner has 4.4 40-yard dash speed and it shows on tape.  He can close on the ball, stop the run, and is a good man-to-man cover guy. He plays physical and plays with good anticipation to high point the ball or break up a pass.
