is going to be one of the more intriguing prospects to watch develop over the next six months. We say that with plenty of athletes but for Dutton, it will be interesting to see how his game develops here in the near future. When we first saw Dutton, he was running the Yukon flexbone offense and was doing a great job. He’s an outstanding athlete and he rarely made a mistake in the flexbone. However, head coach Jeremy Reed resigned this offseason and with him gone, the flexbone offense might be gone as well. While that is still up in the air, it’s possible that Dutton will be running a new offense in 2021. It’s also a possibility that Dutton isn’t even running the offense at quarterback, depending on the new coach. So there you go, he’s a very intriguing prospect for what he’ll end up being. However, regardless of what happens in the future with the Yukon offense, Dutton is still one of the best athletes in this junior class and can bring a lot of valuable skills to the team.

will have some options that the others don’t have. We consider Udoumoh as one of the best athletes in the 2022 class on the football field. However, Udoumoh is also a standout on the basketball floor. The 2021 class was loaded with basketball stars that ended up as Power Five prospects. We’re not suggesting that Udoumoh will end up at a Power Five school, but we’ve certainly seen the start of a trend. However, when it comes to Udoumoh on the football field, the young playmaker has the skills to be a variety of things at the next level. But if we had to predict where Udoumoh ends up, we’ll go with wide receiver as he made the majority of his plays on that side of the ball. Udoumoh was an absolute burner on the field as he would simply run by defensive backs on go routes. He also had the size and athleticism to win jump ball after jump ball against undersized defenders. Just keep this name circled because he will likely soar up the ranking on the next update.

is also a basketball standout but it’s hard not to see his future being on the gridiron with all the plays that he made on both sides of the ball during the junior campaign. Edwards played several positions on the offensive side of the ball and routinely played safety on the defensive side. On offense, Edwards would line up at quarterback but he made the majority of his plays as a wide receiver. On defense, Edwards was an absolute ball hawk of a safety. As of right now, it is very difficult to project the “most natural fit” for Edwards when it comes to being a prospect. In fact, out of the five prospects on this list, Edwards is the most difficult to project as of right now. And just to be clear, that’s not saying that Edwards isn’t a legitimate college prospect because he absolutely is. What we are saying is that as of right now, it’s tough to say definitively whether Edwards should be on offense or defense.

is the runaway leader for highest rank at 39 overall and one of the top rated athletes in the class. Banks came into this season as Union’s starting quarterback and was listed as such. However, there was no doubt that Banks was one of the best athletes in the junior class and happened to play the quarterback position. After Union got off to a slow start, they would make a change in the offense and Banks would move to running back and would also have certain packages where he threw the ball. However, running back appears to be the most natural fit for Banks, although he still has plenty of versatility to play some different positions. But at running back specifically, Banks was one of the fastest and most dynamic players in 6A football. Union had one of the best rushing attacks by the end of the season and Banks was a big reason behind it. Now that

checks in at #100 after enjoying a breakout season in 2020. The Dutch were loaded with talent in 2020 and will still be loaded with talent when they return to the field this fall. Woodham is a good example of a versatile athlete that the Dutch lean on to be productive. At running back, Woodham put up some big numbers and ended up being a touchdown machine. On defense, Woodham was a standout linebacker and a critical part of Holland Hall’s stout defense. When it comes down to making a projection and seeing where Woodham might fit in best at the next level, it’s hard to imagine it not being the defensive side of the ball. Woodham is a hard-nosed runner but when it comes down to making a choice, he’s better on the defensive side of the ball. Don’t be surprised if Woodham picks up where he left off in 2020 and has an even better senior season.
