Their versatility and skill-sets make them valuable players for their high school teams, and they are on pace to figure somewhere on a college football roster. Here are some player profiles.
ATH: J’uan Swanson, Ben Davis HS, 6’0, 185
J’uan started at quarterback for Ben Davis this past season, and he helped lead his team to the semi-state championship. This prospect is also a member of the baseball team. J’uan has very good arm talent, and he demonstrates great on-field leadership skills. He is also very mobile, and he has a knack for making a big play at the most important times of the game. J’uan can project to QB, but colleges will also want to work out this prospect as a running back and wide receiver. He can also project to the defensive secondary. J’uan is highly athletic, and he is the type of prospect that can “run, catch, and throw.”
ATH: Maximus Webster, Westfield HS, 6’1, 225
Maximus settled in as the quarterback for Westfield this past season. He helped pave the way for the Shamrocks to reach the state championship in Indiana’s largest class. Maximus is a 3-sport athlete, as he also plays basketball and baseball. Maximus has fine arm talent and possesses natural leadership skills. He is also a dual-threat. This prospect is very physical, and he has a solid build. Maximus can project to QB, but he will also receive looks at fullback, tight end, and potentially linebacker. This prospect is tough, physical, and leads his team.
ATH: Jackson Dawson, Warsaw HS, 6’6, 185
Jackson is also a member of the Warsaw basketball team. In his high school football career, Jackson has rotated between playing quarterback, wide receiver, and also in the defensive secondary. This prospect has great height and length, and he also displays fine movement skills. He is very athletic. Jackson’s junior football is film is exciting and demonstrates great versatility and productivity. Jackson is on pace to develop into a “jumbo” wide receiver, tight end, or perhaps somewhere on defense. He might be ripe for a conversion to linebacker, or even possibly defensive end. From a football perspective, it is all in front of Jackson. He is a unique, skilled prospect.
ATH: Prince Powell, Warren Central HS, 6’0, 185
Prince started at quarterback for Warren Central this past season. He is also a member of the Warriors’ basketball team. Prince is very, very athletic, and he is a fluid mover. He has fine arm talent, and he displays great decision-making skills. He is tough, and he plays with great energy and demonstrates outstanding on-field leadership ability. Prince can project to the quarterback position, but he also flashes the ability to factor as a wide receiver. His most upside and value might be in the defensive secondary. He is an outstanding football prospect, and he is a big part of what Warren Central does.
ATH: Rowan Zolman, East Noble HS, 6’5, 200
Rowan has played on the East Noble varsity football team since his sophomore season. Rowan is a 3-sport athlete. He also plays basketball and participates in track. Rowan is a unique, highly-skilled football prospect. He plays wide receiver on offense, and he plays safety on defense. Rowan is a great wide receiver who makes big plays. He is also tough and physical on defense, with the ability to stuff the run and cover the pass. Prep Redzone thinks that this prospect is a high-level athlete that will generate a ton of collegiate interest. He is equally exciting and talented on both sides of the football, and he is a high-level athlete with outstanding size. Rowan has a ton of upside. His best collegiate position might be at linebacker.
ATH: Dillon Moore Dillon Moore 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Ben Davis | 2022 State IN , Ben Davis HS, 6’2, 190
Dillon is a valuable member of a deep, talented Ben Davis basketball team. He has played varsity football since his sophomore season, and as a junior, Dillon really came into his own. He plays wide receiver on offense, and he also plays in the defensive secondary. Prep Redzone has had the opportunity to watch Dillon practice. This is a talented, high-level athlete. We were also able to watch the regional championship between BD and Carmel. Prep Redzone is of the opinion that in that particular game, Dillon might have been the most talented prospect on the field. He made huge plays on both offense and defense, helping his team secure the regional victory. Dillon is tough, talented, and physical.
ATH: Colby Bullock, Chesteron HS, 6’0, 185
Colby is a member of the Chesterton track team, and he has garnered success and accolades during his career so far. This prospect was named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association’s “All Junior” team this past season. Colby was designated as a running back on the award list. When watching Colby’s junior football film, he will line up in the backfield and take handoffs. But, the true value and upside for Colby might be as a wide receiver. This is a fast, talented, and sure-handed offensive weapon. Colby appears to be a fluid, natural receiver who is always looking to hit a home run. This prospect also has the opportunity to project to the defensive backfield because of his movement skills, vision, anticipation, and awareness. Colby his highly-athletic, can flat out sprint and has tremendous upside.
