Here are 5 names to know moving forward. This will be a continuing series, as Prep Redzone looks forward to evaluating and reporting on the talented 2022 Indiana OL group.
Drew Terrill, Lebanon HS, 6’6 250
Drew played on both sides of the ball this past season for Lebanon. On offense, he plays tackle and serves as a DE/DT on the defensive side. When you watch and evaluate the film, he has the opportunity to stay on the DL. In fact, he would make a lot of sense for a team running an odd front. Those players are not easy to find. Prep Redzone believes that Drew will “make his money” as a developmental OL talent. He has a frame to grow into, and plays with great energy and aggression. He displays outstanding balance. He possesses many traits that project to next level success, and college programs will be lining up to work with and evaluate Drew.
Max Williams, Lebanon HS, 6’6 290
Lebanon is blessed to have bookend offensive tackles that display a high talent level. Max plays the other tackle spot opposite Drew. This prospect possesses outstanding size and strength. Max plays with his “eyes up” and fine knee bend. This prospect also does his best to avoid being on the ground. Max has a lot of upside, and he will continue to grow, refine and develop his skill set. He also possesses the traits to kick inside to guard. When the pause is lifted off the NCAA Contact/Eval period, there will be a “college caravan” to Lebanon HS.
Barry Duff, Reitz Memorial HS, 6’6 285
Barry plays right tackle for his team. His size and frame immediately jump off the tape. He flashes power and aggression in the run game. In pass pro, if Barry has the opportunity to set his feet and get two hands on the opponent-it’s over. Barry also wrestles for Reitz, and you can notice the pop and nastiness translate to the football field. While this prospect more than holds his own at tackle, he is in a great position for a transition to guard. He is versatile and talented enough to play both spots. Barry is on pace to quickly add toughness, power and intensity to a college offensive line room.
Joe Cannedy, Zionsville HS, 6’7 270
Head Coach Scott Turnquist and the Zionsville Eagles reached this past season’s state championship. Their offensive line was a big reason why. In addition to 2022 OL prospect Joey Tanona Joey Tanona 6'5" | 295 lbs | OL Zionsville | 2022 State IN (Notre Dame commitment), Joe Cannedy emerged onto the scene. This prospect is blessed with outstanding size and a projectable frame. He looks every bit the part on film. Joe also participates in lacrosse, and his movement skills in respect to the position are very impressive. In addition to possessing outstanding size and movement, Joe has great balance. He also keeps his eyes up. This prospect is very talented and has a lot of upside. He will only continue to enhance his skills and finishing attitude. He has the ability and can be projected-to play offensive tackle, but also makes a lot of sense as a guard.
Zachary Williams, Westfield HS, 6’5 265
This is another prospect that participated on a state championship finalist, as Head Coach Jake Gilbert led the Westfield Shamrocks to Lucas Oil Stadium on Thanksgiving Weekend. Zachary plays offensive tackle for his team. He has a frame and skill set that could allow him to play tackle, guard and/or center. He is blessed with outstanding height and length. He has a very projectable frame for the college level. He plays with nice balance, and finds a way to stay on his feet. He plays with great vision and awareness. We expect this prospect to continue to add weight/strength gains, and to continue to work on his aggression and finishing ability. This prospect’s combination of height, length, feet and natural skill set will appeal to many college football programs.
