This is the third in a four-part series breaking down all of those from the Pee Dee who are currently included in our Class of 2022 list.
Reggie Cabbagestalk Reggie Cabbagestalk 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Hartsville | 2022 State SCSchool: Hartsville
Position: Offensive line
Analysis: We’re as high as we are on Cabbagestalk because of his combination of position and size. Frankly, there aren’t a lot of 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman with two years of varsity experience at center.
Hunter Norton Hunter Norton 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Lake View | 2022 State SCSchool: Lake View
Position: Linebacker
Analysis: Norton is at a Class 1A school, but he’s got the type of skill set that would make him viable against much larger competition, too. Much of that can be credited to his above-average size and an ability to see the field so well.
Luke Janack Luke Janack 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Carolina Forest | 2022 State SCSchool: Carolina Forest
Position: Running back
Analysis: Janack went full on beast mode as a junior, rushing for 1,164 yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. In the process, he averaged 8.9 yards per carry and put up a pair of 200-yard games.
Jesus Gutierrez Jesus Gutierrez 6'4" | 350 lbs | DL Green Sea Floyds | 2022 State SCSchool: Green Sea Floyds
Position: Defensive line
Analysis: Gutierrez is a 6-foot-4, 349-pound two-way standout who is only going to get better with time. He’s not got a season of varsity ball under his belt and will be expected to help the Trojans return to the playoffs next year.
Justice Williams Justice Williams 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Saint James | 2022 State SCSchool: St. James
Position: Wide receiver
Analysis: In a more developed offense, Williams’ numbers probably look a lot better than they do. But he’s drawing attention, in large part, thanks to his speed. It’s allowed him to catch passes, run the football, return kicks and play corner.
