Continue ReadingIt should come as no surprise that the deepest position grouping in the class of 2022 to evaluate is the offensive line grouping. Numerous players have division one talent in the position grouping. However, talent exist the further you delve into the rankings. We will examine the offensive line class and the opportunity that exists for college scouts to put scholarship offers on the table in a quick fashion. Due to the amount of talent that is prevalent in the state of Arkansas on the offensive line, this article is going to be divided into two parts.
We kick the overview of the offensive line class for 2022 with E’Marion Harris E’Marion Harris 6'7" | 375 lbs | OL Joe T. Robinson | 2022 State AR . Harris is a massive offensive lineman at Joe T. Robinson High School in Little Rock. At 6-7, Harris has the power to overwhelm opposing defensive linemen. What impresses me the most about Harris is just how quick he is out of the snap and getting into the defensive linemen. Harris has earned numerous power five scholarship offers and he will be seeing playing at a major college football program. Fans and scouts can look for Harris to stay near the top of the Prep Redzone 2022 rankings.
Andrew Chamblee Andrew Chamblee 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Maumelle | 2022 State AR out of Maumelle is another offensive lineman earning the attention of college coaches and scouts. Chamblee at 6-6 has the power and quick feet that you look for when you are scouting offensive linemen. Chamblee plays with a mean streak and is quick out of the stance. Chamblee has earned multiple scholarship offers and will be an impact player at a power five conference university.
Camden Fairview High School has produced its share of college football talent over the years. It should come as no surprise to hear that Timothy Dawn Jr Timothy Dawn Jr 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Camden Fairview | 2022 State AR . is from Camden and he is another powerhouse offensive lineman that the Cardinals have produced. Dawn Jr. does a good job of getting into the opposing defensive lineman. He keeps the defensive lineman out of the backfield and does a particularly good job of getting to the second level. Dawn Jr. is another offensive lineman that will see playing time at the division one level of college football.
An offensive lineman that is going to blow up this season is Har-Ber Wildcats guard Jack Struebing Jack Struebing 6'1" | 265 lbs | OL Har-Ber | 2022 State AR . Struebing is an athletic guard that uses his quickness to keep the opposing defensive lineman off balance. He is one of those offensive linemen that plays with a mean streak on the field. Struebing does an excellent job of finishing his blocks and driving the defensive lineman to the ground if he gets the opportunity. With several division one scholarship offers, Struebing will be another Arkansas offensive lineman playing on Saturdays.
Meanwhile, Lake Hamilton’s offensive line is built to run the football. Lake Hamilton was highly effective in running the football, reaching the 6-A state title game this season. Chase Jessup is the anchor on Lake Hamilton’s road grader of an offensive line. Jessup can be an overpowering run blocker. He did a terrific job of opening the holes this season for a talented run-based Lake Hamilton attack. Jessup is another offensive lineman that will see the field on Saturdays in division one football.
The final player we will examine in part one of this article is Gosnell offensive lineman Tederian Blair Tederian Blair 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Gosnell | 2022 State AR . Blair plays with a mean streak. He is an overpowering run blocker and shows good speed getting out of the snap. Blair gets into opposing defensive linemen quickly and he has a knack for driving them into the ground. Blair has already earned a scholarship offer from Kansas and is someone I would expect to earn more division one offers over the course of the offseason.
