We closed out the first part of our list with Gosnell’s Tederian Blair Tederian Blair 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Gosnell | 2022 State AR . In this article we will continue our examination of the offensive line class of 2022.
The Kansas Jayhawks have jumped on the talent that is in the 2022 class aggressively. Kansas has secured the commitment of Ozark offensive lineman Brock Burns Brock Burns 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Ozark | 2022 State AR . Burns is an aggressive run blocker. He does a good job of opening up a rushing lane for the running back. Burns has performed well as a pass blocker for Ozark and he has earned the offer from the Jayhawks. He is an offensive lineman that is going to continue to improve over the offseason.
The Maumelle coaching staff have a talented offensive line. Caleb Stroud Caleb Stroud 6'7" | 325 lbs | OL Maumelle | 2022 State AR has played all along the offensive line for Maumelle. His versatility is impressive for someone that is 6-7 and weighs 330 lbs. Stroud uses his size and power well to create rushing lanes. He has the potential to be completely overpowering and dominate the defensive lineman he is matched up against. Stroud has division one potential written all over him and his recruiting will likely pick up over the next few months.
Much like Maumelle, Camden Fairview is doing a terrific job of producing quality offensive linemen. Mark Welch Mark Welch 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Camden Fairview | 2022 State AR is an offensive tackle that plays with a mean streak. From a run blocking perspective Welch can be a beast. He uses his size and speed well to drive the opposing defensive lineman off the line of scrimmage. Welch has drawn the attention of South Dakota State and the Kansas Jayhawks and earned scholarship offers from both schools. Welch has the potential to earn more scholarship offers during the offseason.
Meanwhile, El Dorado left tackle Jalon Frazier is an athletic tackle that uses his speed to keep the opposing defensive linemen off the quarterback. Frazier does a good of protecting the quarterback and his blocking buys the quarterback a few extra seconds to escape the pocket. His run blocking is an area that has improved, and he has the potential to become an offensive lineman that will see action on Saturdays. He is a player that I expect to move up the rankings during the offseason.
In the final article over the 2022 offensive line class, we look at the Fordyce offensive linemen that have helped the Redbugs win state championships. We will also examine several offensive linemen that are flying under the radar. I will be working on the Prep RedZone rankings for the state of Arkansas this month so me film at @tctabler on twitter or email me at trstabler@gmail.com.
