. While the Choctaw standout didn’t make the jump that some of the other prospects did, what he did was solidify himself as a top ten prospect in this class as opposed to being a top twenty guy. It was obvious pretty early on that Brown would have the chance to make this leap as he emerged as one of the top pass rushers in the state. He finished with over 15 sacks on the season and made some memorable plays in the state championship game against Bixby. There is no doubt that Choctaw has a lot of young talent but Brown is an absolute nightmare along the defensive line. Choctaw had one of the best front seven units when it came to getting after the quarterback and Brown was the catalyst of all that and will be looking for even more in 2021.

Without a doubt the biggest leap made by a prospect in our recent update was that of Union defensive back

. The Union standout went from #49 in a Top 50 ranking all the way to the top five in the 2022 class. We’re not going to sit here and say that we saw this coming because we didn’t see top five coming. However, when we saw Rowe earlier in the 2020 season, you could see that it was only a matter of time before Rowe emerged as one of these can’t miss prospects. He continued to get better and better throughout the season and his combination of size, speed and skills make him a dangerous defensive back prospect. Over the last month, his recruitment has started to blow up and we made the comparison that Rowe is this year’s version of Choctaw’s

continues to climb up. Coming into this season, Jennings was on our radar as a potential breakout star for the Tigers at the receiver position. Last year, Jennings did most of his damage at the JV level but you could see that he had legitimate skill to go with his size and speed. He wasn’t just beating opponents on go routes, he was doing it in different ways. After his junior season, it was obvious that Jennings had made the transition look easy and was without a doubt Broken Arrow’s top weapon in the passing game. Because of that, he jumps up into the top 20 and in the last few weeks, his recruitment has begun to take off as well with the first of what should be many offers. Jennings will be a player to watch this fall under new head coach Josh Blankenship.

went from a prospect outside of the top 50 to inside the top 25. Midwest City’s defense was one of the better units in the state and Edwards was a big reason behind that. One of the biggest things we like about Edwards’ game is that he has some versatility with what he could end up being at the next level. In the right fit, he could stay at linebacker. However, if he continues to grow, he could end up being moved closer to the line of scrimmage and be a defensive end prospect. The sky is the limit for what Edwards could end up being as a college prospect. When we got to see Edwards in person, he was an absolute wrecking ball of a linebacker. We’re very excited to see what Edwards ends up being at the next level.

made that same jump as well. It was hard to keep Thomas out of the top 20 after the way Union finished off the 2020 season. Once Union found their identity on offense, which was a three-headed monster for a rushing attack, they were one of the better teams in 6A-D1. And a big reason Union was able to run up and down the field on opponents was the play of tackle

. The Union big man has all the tools to be one of the better offensive tackles in the state. He had an outstanding junior year that was a breakout season for him as he ended up on one of our All State teams. Thomas will be a prospect to keep circled over the next few months because it’s only a matter of time before his recruitment blows up. Once the first offer happens, more will follow.
