I had the fortune of being the tournament director of the CE Stars Ball Till U Fall 7on7 tournament powered by the Elite 7evens  series,  held in Indianapolis, Indiana over the weekend. The event welcomed athletes age 10-18 from across the country. With teams representing Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, there was plenty of talent on hand.  As the director, I wasn’t able to sit and watch much of the action, but when I did, I couldn’t help but notice the playmaking by Brownsburg rising senior Kalen Carroll.

Carroll played defensive back for the CE Stars Gold 18u team that also featured some of the Hoosier state’s top prospects.  Carroll’s teammates included Indianapolis Pike high 2023 defensive back Tony Leadford Jr, Indianapolis North Central 2022 wideout Keyshaun Pipkin and Indianapolis Ben Davis’ athlete   Dillon MooreDillonMoore6'2" | ATHBen Davis | 2022StateIN. It was Carroll who grabbed my attention throughout the weekend. It was the footspeed, change of direction, and the ability to come out of his breaks faster than the receivers.  He’s a lengthy corner at  6’1 and it appears he’s added a little weight to his 170-pound frame.  Carroll ran hip-to-hip with every receiver and also would bait the quarterbacks into throwing his
