So, here are some quick notes on prospects that flashed during the showcase on Monday.
2022 linebacker Noah Rapinchuk, Downers Grove South, IL (6’2 and 199lbs) @NoahRapinchuk12
Great size for a linebacker, good bend and moves well. Need to see more but liked what I saw briefly.
2023 Defensive back Ajani Rush, Hillcrest, IL (5’9” and 169lbs) @RushAjani
An absolute burner, showed solid hips and footwork. If he grows a few more inches, watch out!
2022 Defensive back Kameron Lewis, Palatine, IL (6’ and 170lbs) @Kam_prospect1
Great size and length, always up for the challenge against bigger receivers. Takes good angles and always goes for the ball.
2023 Defensive back Noah Taylor Noah Taylor 6'1" | 205 lbs | DB Lemont | 2023 State IL , Lemont, IL (6’ and 185lbs) @nbt2234
Good speed and technique, is getting better each time I see him. A hard worker who has a bright future.
2022 Linebacker Mohammad Khalil, Lemont, IL (5’10” and 185lbs) @momo_khalil12
A hard worker with a wrestling background, that keeps getting better. Needs a spring season to really see improvement his hard work paying off.
2023 Wide receiver Grant Larkin, Nequa Valley, IL (6’ and 175lbs) @GrantLarkin1
Has a skill set you’d see out of a player who is much older. Athletic with strong hands and runs good routes.
2023 Wide receiver Dakotah Mayo, Christian Brothers, MO (5’10” and 160lbs) @DakotahMayo
Small but shifty, has tons of upside as a slot if he says that size. Could add on some weight and is speedy.
2022 Wide receiver Chris Brooks, St. Louis University HS, MO (6’3” and 210lbs) @chris_brooksjr2
Huge frame who ran routes very well. Great hands and has the ability to high point the ball.
2022 Wide receiver Isaiah Romano, Wheeling, IL (5’9” and 140lbs) @IsaiahRomano3
Quick feet but undersized, Romano shows solid hands a good routes. Needs to add on some weight though.
2023 Wide receiver Ryan Sims Ryan Sims 6'4" | 200 lbs | WR Marist | 2023 State IL , Marist, IL (6’3” and 195lbs) @RyanSims_ows
Already possesses a college ready body, Sims has a big catch radius and body skills. He should be a P5 prospect when it’s all said and done.
2023 Wide receiver Charlie Specht, York, IL (6’2” and 160lbs) @SpechtCharlie
Another long and wiry receiver who has a very solid skill set. Specht will need to add weight, but has the frame to do so.
2022 Quarterback Keegan Glover Keegan Glover 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Benton | 2022 State IL , Benton, IL (6’ and 165lbs) @GloverKeegan
Has taken the non-season in stride, getting to as many showcases and camps as possible. Great work ethic and improves each time I see him.
2023 Quarterback Ryan Dawson, Downers Grove, IL (6’3” and 195lbs) @ryan_dawson24
Great frame with a big arm, plays baseball as well. Good footwork and athletic.
2022 Quarterback David Dorn David Dorn 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Wheaton Academy | 2022 State IL , Wheaton Academy, IL (5’11” and 186lbs) @David_Dorn7
Gets better each time I see him. Timing is great, with a quick release and solid footwork.
2022 Quarterback Brandon McCoy, St. Laurence, IL (6’2” and 195lbs) @Brandon_G_McCoy
The lefty has good footwork and a strong arm. Squares his shoulders well and is athletic.

Big arm and frame for a freshman. Keeps getting better every time I see him. One to watch the next few years.

2023 Tight end Nick Hawkins, Lemont, IL (6’5” and 240lbs) @Nick_Hawkinss
Massive frame with plenty of room to grow. Solid routes with good hands. You have to wonder if he fills out, will he end up as a defensive end or maybe an offensive tackle.
2023 Tight end Mack O’Halloran, Downers Grove South, IL (6’4” and 220lbs) @MackOHalloran
Huge frame that moves very well, another two-sport athlete. Great hands for a player who has a ton of upside.
2022 Tight end Chris Petrucci Chris Petrucci 6'5" | 215 lbs | TE Maine South | 2022 State IL , Maine South, IL (6’5” and 210lbs) @ChrisPetrucci19
With a slighter frame, Petrucci uses it to out run slower defenders. Has a big catch radius and big upside.
2023 Running back Payton Young, Merrillville HS, IN (5’11” and 200lbs) @Payton_Young134
An absolute bruiser that won’t show at this kind of event, still gave a glimpse of good hands. Like the upside of this young back.
2022 Running back Benjamin McLaughlin, Warren Township, IL (5’10” and 210lbs) @BenMclaughlin44
Thick and quick, McLaughlin shows good hands and feet. Strong at the point of attack, when a season happens, people will notice the skill set.
2022 Offensive lineman Paolo Gennarelli Paolo Gennarelli 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL St. Charles North | 2022 State IL , St. Charles North, IL (6’3” and 275lbs) @Gennarelli2022
Doesn’t always standout due to his consistency but that’s the key. Does his job with good footwork and strong hands.
2022 Offensive lineman Thomas Hubbard Thomas Hubbard 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Bartlett | 2022 State IL , Bartlett, IL (6’4” and 255lbs) @bubbahubbard1
Great frame that has room for growth. As he gets stronger and bigger, will becomes more of a force on the line.
2023 Offensive lineman Paris Patterson Paris Patterson 6'4" | 325 lbs | OL East St. Louis | 2023 State IL , East St. Louis, IL (6’5” and 315lbs) @p_pattersonjr
An absolute mauler on the line, Patterson more than held his own. Strength and footwork are good and will only get better as time goes on.
2023 Offensive lineman Jacob Welch Jacob Welch 6'6" | 285 lbs | OL Johnsburg | 2023 State IL , Johnsburgh, IL (6’6” and 284lbs) @JacobWelch75
Welch holds his weight well, size and strength to do it all as a tackle. Very polished for such a young player.
2022 Defensive end Collin Bell, Christian Brothers College HS, MO (6’1” and 255lbs) @thereallcbell
Great motor from the edge, could end up sliding down to tackle as he gets older. Still very good upside either way.
2023 Defensive tackle Chris Farrell, Lisle, IL (6’5” and 280lbs) @Chrisfarrell32
Massive frame at a young age, overpowers opponents. Does need to work on technique, but lots of upside when he does.
