1. Nick Morris (SR-LB) – Westlake High School (Austin, TX)
Westlake faced its toughest challenge this season against North Shore but the Chaparrals edged out the Mustangs 24-21 and the biggest part of the victory was thanks to the Westlake defense. Morris had an excellent performance for Westlake as he finished off the night with three sacks. He also had 13 total tackles with nine of them being solo. Morris now has 16 sacks on the season and 88 total tackles and as Westlake prepares to face Southlake Carroll for the state title, the Chaparrals will have to continue to build up its elite defense behind Morris and senior linebacker Brady Lamme.
2. Ryder Hernandez Ryder Hernandez 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Cedar Park | 2021 TX (SR-QB) – Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)
The Timberwolves strolled past Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, with a score of 61-28, to advance to the state championship with Hernandez playing a big part in the victory. Hernandez finished the game with 399 passing yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions. Hernandez has had the season of a lifetime, especially given that he will play in the state championship to end off his senior season, and he has thrown for 4,240 yards and 58 touchdowns with just two interceptions. Hernandez has been nothing short of unstoppable and Ryan will have to play its absolute best to have a chance at stopping him.

3. Josh Cameron (SR-WR) – Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)
One of the reasons Hernandez is so hard to stop is also thanks to his receivers. Cameron is one of the leaders in the receiving corps and he walked away with five receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns against CC Veterans Memorial. This season, Cameron has totaled 83 receptions for 1,169 yards and 14 touchdowns and considering the stakes of the next game, Hernandez and Cameron, one of the most elite QB/WR duos in Texas, will be looking to continue the hot streak the pair have been on since the beginning of the playoffs.
4. Brady Lamme (SR-LB) – Westlake High School (Austin, TX)
Another top defender for Westlake was Lamme, who had two sacks and 14 total tackles against North Shore. Lamme and Morris are both leaders for the Chaparral defense, but Lamme has also been hot in the playoffs totaling seven tackles against Steele and eight tackles against Stevens. The duo of Lamme and Morris proves disruptive for quarterbacks as both get into the backfield. This is evident as Lamme has seven tackles for a loss in the past three games. This duo, and the whole Westlake defense, will prove troublesome for Southlake Carroll.
