Over the years, the Fayetteville Bulldogs have been a powerhouse in high school football in Arkansas. In this article we will get to know the Fayetteville quarterback and what all he is determined to accomplish over the next few months.
The Bulldogs closed the season in strong fashion last season and Fike is wanting to build off of those performances. Fike wants to get the Bulldogs back to the days of being a feared powerhouse that were always counting on deep playoff runs. To accomplish this goal Fike wants to get the Fayetteville playbook down pat. With the ultimate team goal of winning another state championship for Fayetteville.
During the offseason, Fike is a busy young man. He pitches for the Fayetteville baseball team. However, he is still getting in all of his throws and getting his timing down with the talented receiving corps the Bulldogs have. The Fayetteville offense is returning a number of starters and this group has the potential to light up the 7-A West.
With seven-on-seven tournaments returning this offseason, Fike is looking forward to being able to put on a show at the Shiloh Christian tournament this year as well as the Alma tournament. Performing in the tournaments and doing his offseason will allow Fike to work on his quickness and agility as well as give him the opportunity to continue weightlifting.
The work ethic and determination that Fike has is impressive. The young man has a strong arm, and he is not afraid to throw the deep ball. Fike is not afraid to move the chains running the football. At 6-2 and 180 lbs Fike already has the size needed to scan the field and he has proven that he can take a hit. Fike is determined to be a division one quarterback and that determination is well served because he has the talent needed to play division one on Saturdays. He is going to be a fun quarterback to watch over the next few months. Fayetteville is expected to do big things and with Fike under center this is going to be a fun team to watch come playoff time.
