Twitter seems to have been the biggest tool in the recruiting process as the social media platform saw an 8% increase of new users than the average of 2% in year’s past. Almost all college coaches from every sport have an account, making the recruiting process more streamlined for all parties involved. I have watched countless hours of film, and there are so many smart and talented prospects on the rise here in Ohio. Here are three players I think you should watch for this fall in and around the state.
Zyion Brown |LB
2022
St. Edwards HS
Scouting Notes:
Zyion is tough, fast, and physical, checking all of a good college prospect’s boxes. What you notice right away is that he is stronger than he looks and will become more dominant as he adds weight. He is also having a great season in the win column on the basketball court and leading the team defensively. When we spoke on the phone, he said he wants college coaches to know that he is versatile and willing to work hard on and off the field.
Adam Diaz | QB
2022
Shaker Heights HS
Scouting Notes:
Diaz is a smooth operator in the pocket and is very accurate too. The 5’11 QB out of Shaker is a field general and a leader this past season. He accounted for 16 TDs in the air with over 1100 yards in a shortened season. While watching his film, you can see his ability to complete deep passes on the money and also his ability to make plays with his feet while allowing his eyes to stay downfield. Adam is also a standout on the baseball diamond, and you can expect big things from him this year in both sports.
Marcus Moore Jr |OG
2023
Massillon HS
Scouting Notes:
Moore is an impressive two-way lineman who gets the job done in multiple ways. The first thing that stands out is his ability to move for a 6’2 and 3 bills guy! Marcus enjoys making his opponents pay as he nearly pancake blocks a player on almost every play. His good feet and size make him a prospect for some mid-major programs. Moore is a two-time 3rd team All-State football player while playing for Beachwood and will spend his last two seasons with the Tigers.
