York – C/G Seth Petty
Twitter: @sethpetty54
Analysis: Petty is an aggressive linemen who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. The two-year starting linemen makes his presence felt against the defensive tackle right at the snap of the ball. He can move people right off the ball. He can throw out a block even when a play breaks down and deliver a crushing block against a defensive linemen who was trying to make a stop on a run play, like we saw on his film. He was selected as a 2020 All-Region and All-Area offensive linemen and only allowed 2 sacks the entire season. He’s also an outstanding student in the classroom with a 4.59 GPA. An FCS program needs to give this young man a look.
Catawba Ridge – WR/KR/S Quentin Jackson
Twitter: @Q_Jackson11
Analysis: Jackson is the total package, literally. He played receiver, safety on defense and returned punts on special teams in 2020 and he’s solid at all three. He will line up at outside receiver nearest to the sideline and burn you with the deep vertical route or he can catch passes over the middle. We saw one play watching his film at safety where he recognized the play and had good ball skills to make the interception. He’s quick and can box defenders out on the one-on-one ball that’s a credit to the fact he plays basketball. He also runs track. An FCS program would certainly benefit from giving him a look.
Catawba Ridge – DB/RB Jaxen Anciso
Twitter: @Jaxen_22
Analysis: Anciso is another guy who played multiple positions for the Copperheads being at safety, corner and running back as well. He played primarily at safety in 2020 We noticed on one play at safety how he filled the alley on a run play perfectly and made a nice clean hit on the ball carrier. He can come up and flat out lay the lumber as his play recognition is outstanding. He wrapped up 2020 with offers from Myrtle Beach (SC) Collegiate Post-Grad Academy, Culver Stockton University, Heidelberg University and Blue Field State College.
Northwestern – DB Marc Wells
Twitter: @MarkW_Jr
Analysis: Opposing quarterbacks faced an uphill battle when it came to dealing with Wells. In watching his film, passes weren’t completed often when they came his way and even if they did, he is an aggressive and attacking corner who will come up and make the receiver feel his presence immediately. He forced multiple fumbles and won the competitive one-on-one battles. Wells runs track as well and ran a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. He’s also an outstanding student in the classroom with a 4.1 GPA, currently holding offers from Valaparsio University and Erskine College.
South Pointe – C Ernie Greenwood Ernie Greenwood 6'2" | 300 lbs | OL South Pointe | 2021 State SC
Twitter: @ErnieGreenwood1
Analysis: Greenwood is a strong and physical center who was a leader on the offensive line for the Stallions. He can move and twist well in run blocking situations, not allowing the defensive tackle to have any chance of getting any penetration, much less a hand on the ball carrier. In fact, we are pretty sure he pancaked a few d-tackles. He was also impressive in watching his film in getting to the second level on run blocks, one which led to a touchdown. He earned his first offer from Erskine College just before Christmas on December 17, 2020 and is excellent in the classroom with 3.93 GPA.
