Hunter finished the season as the leader in receiving yards, with 1,746 on 137 receptions and 24 touchdowns in 15 games. He is a two way player for Collins Hills, being even more dominant on the defensive side of the ball at corner. He has good ball skills. Hunter is very athletic and has good speed, he had no problem making defenders miss this season. His good footwork helps him create separation. He is already committed to Florida State going into his senior year.
Mitch Thompson, Class of 2021, South Forsyth
The second leading receiver this year was Thompson. In 9 games, he racked up 946 yards on 38 receptions and 11 touchdowns. Thompson was a bright spot for South Forsyth this year. He’s a versatile playmaker, can run bubble screens and deep routes well. An explosive player, he can create separation. Thompson was a big play machine for South Forsyth, averaging 24.9 yards per reception. Built like a slot receiver, he can succeed at the right college program. He has received an offer from Cumberlands.
Jaden Smith, Class of 2021, Grayson
Smith had a great season, playing 12 games, totaling 903 receiving yards, 42 receptions, and 11 touchdowns. With 903 yards he was the third leading receiver in 7A. He provided big plays this year with his longest reception being 85 yards. He has good ball skills and can high point the ball. In addition, he has good hands, completing multiple catches through contact. He was a big factor in Grayson becoming 7A State Champs. He has not committed yet but has received offers from East Carolina, Cincinnati, and Kentucky.

Martin was a star for Marietta on both sides of the ball. He played 11 games and ended the season with the fourth most receiving yards, 896. He had 51 receptions and 8 touchdowns. He added big plays to Marietta’s offense, averaging 17.6 yards per reception. His longest reception of the season was 80 yards. He’s primarily an outside linebacker, regardless, he’s explosive and can make plays on both sides of the ball. He has received offers from Clemson, Florida, and Auburn.

Haynes was the other Grayson receiver to finish in the top 5 for receiving yards this season. In 14 games, he caught 60 passes for 891 yards and 8 touchdowns. He has good footwork and quickness. He excels at getting up field quickly and picking up extra yards. Haynes is a fearless player, as he did not shy away from contact. He’s a good slot receiver. Haynes has already signed his letter of commitment and will be taking his talents to Georgia Tech.
