For those who have watched Hollywood South Broward senior Xavier Johnson play – all the way back to his youth football days, are not surprised by his success. They are, however, disappointed that college coaches – even in Covid – cannot see how dominating this young man is.

When we say that it’s always wise to actually watch the student/athletes perform live, it’s for a good reason.

Recruiting has now become so specialized that any and every “stone” is fair game when you happen to be recruiting against some of the elite schools in the nation.

No matter what class the athlete may be in – this is time of year that they will be looking for publicity and exposure.

With the season finished throughout the country, it is now officially the off-season, and with this pandemic still gripping many of us, the camps, combines and 7-on-7 events will still happen in many places, but you can almost guarantee that they will all be watched closely until the vaccine becomes available for all.

The one thing we do during the off-season, is provide information on players and teams that we see LIVE. This Covid-controlled season, we still managed to get in 75 different games – with as many as seven doubleheaders – ensuring that we will see those prospects that fans are asking questions about. It has always been that way.
