Below are some great seniors who are uncommitted at the present moment. Some of these players are big-time playmakers who may have been “overlooked” or “underrated”. Either, way these are some athletes who can come in right away and be strong contributors at the next level. Let’s take a look at our class of 2021 top prospects at the runningback position.
BJ Foster
We have BJ listed as running back. However, BJ is a true athlete. He primarily plays wide receiver, however, he does line up in the backfield and take handoffs. He can be used as more of a receiving type of back, as he shows amazing ability to rack up yards after the catch, catching the ball out of the backfield.
He has amazing speed and agility and can make defenders miss in the backfield or open field. He is also used as a return man on special teams and has the ability to make big plays happen. At wide-out, he runs good routes and shows amazing ability to have tremendous success with making defenders miss with his speed and elusiveness.
Overall tremendous athlete, who will still have some room for improvement at the next level to be a special player.

Ryan Armwood Ryan Armwood 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Episcopal - Baton Rouge | 2021 State LA
Ryan’s size and strength could use improvement at the next level, however, that doesn’t mean he is not a physical player. Ryan is not afraid to lower his shoulders and run over whimsy tacklers. He has a tremendous first cut move that will leave defenders picking their cleats off the ground.
He shows great vision as a ball carrier and can hit the hole with a burst of speed that can spring into the end-zone. In his junior year, he had over 1,300 yards rushing on the ground, touchdowns (20), and was named District MVP.
This running back shows great balance after contact keeps a low center of gravity and is able to gain extra yardage.

Jake Dalmado Jake Dalmado 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Archbishop Hannan | 2021 State LA
Jake is your workhorse running back who is the most balanced back on this list. You could feed this back with multiple carries during the game and always expect consistent production.
He can catch out of the backfield and he can plow over defenders. He has a big, athletic frame that pairs well with his physical abilities. He shows great lateral speed as a back and can change direction on a dime. Then has the speed and elusiveness to take the ball into the end-zone. His hands out of the backfield are phenomenal, and he can make all the catches a receiver can.
Ryan is a great utility player, with a great chance for success at the next level.

Ja-me’s Sanders
Speedy – receiver type of back. Sanders has great speed but has the patience to wait for plays to happen and then take advantage of holes that open up that his linemen are able to create.
He is a one cut-type back who will put his foot in the ground and make a cut back the other way, consistently picking up decent yardage.
He is also used at Wide receiver and is usually lined up at the slot because of his speed and quickness. He runs clean routes and can be used as a multidimensional player, taking handoff sweeps, running out of the backfield, or be used as a shifty slot receiver.

Lutrell Pruitt
The fastest back on the list. Blazing, dangerous speed, that is used in combination with his extremely shifty football movies.
Very agile on his feet, he can stop and change direction with ease. He shows a great burst off the line of scrimmage and has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. He can make what would look like an obvious TFL, into a 10-15 yard gain. A very shifty running back that has the strength to pick up yards after contact.

Ty Fuselier
Ty is a strong athletic build runningback, that almost mirrors more of a fullback. He is used as a power running back in a wing-T type of offense. Strong downhill runner, who has the adequate speed to make touchdowns.
His speed won’t amaze you, it needs some improvement. However, his overall physicality on the gridiron well. Used on both sides of the ball, this athlete can be used on either side at the next level.
Shows the ability to rack up yards after contact and make defenders miss with the juke moves that he uses.
