This past weekend was full of some great match-ups between some of Texas’s powerhouses like Southlake Carrol versus Duncanville and Glenda Park North Shore versus Westlake. Both match-ups proved to be exciting games and surpassed even the highest of expectations of what could even be imagined.

Southlake Carrol (NO.21) were underdogs going into the matchup against Duncanville ( NO.5) who had more advantage on their roster physically and talent-wise than Southlake Carrol. However, Southlake knew that everyone was discounting them and labeling them as the underdogs in Saturday’s matchup. The Dragons walked on the field with a chip on their shoulder and a certain fire in their eye, --- they had something to prove.

Duncanville’s defense, however, ---had maybe gamed planned too much for Ewers. Effectively holding him to a sub-par performance of 11 of 25 for 168 yards passing and 1 touchdown. Ewers looked out of sync with receivers and just could not find a rhythm throughout the entire game. Consequently, Duncanville’s defense which has only allowed an average of 13.4 points on
