Sam Cross, St. Dominic 2023– Sam is a fleet-footed player who though slight in build, has excellent quickness and explosion. Cross ran one of the best short shuttles in the entire camp at a 4.09. His vertical jump of 33.5 was also one of the tops of the day. Cross was fluid in his movements and as he continues to add size and strength, could be a factor along with Jackson Overton for the next few years at St. Dominic.
Tommy Glacken, Francis Howell Central 2025– Attending your first combine like setting can be unnerving, but the young Glacken participated and acted like a veteran. I am always amazed when rising eighth-graders show up and do well especially with seniors around but the future FHC runner posted one of the few sub-5.0 40s for the entire running back group, laid down a 4.49 short shuttle, and posted a 28.5 vertical. All impressive numbers for any age much less a kid not in high school yet.
Jake Hnilo, Lindbergh 2023– From check-in to one on ones, Hnilo proved he belonged. The sophomore ran a sub-5.0 40, showed lateral quickness in the short shuttle (4.32), and jumped an outstanding 32.5 inch vertical. Jake has soft hands, moves with determination, and competed in every repetition.
Missouri Prep Redzone lead writer Nate Latsch wrote about 2024 RB Darius Jones from Fort Zumwalt West here so I will not but will say he was the stand-out performer of the entire RB group.
