The MHSAA Finals took place this weekend and wrapped up one of the strangest and most memorable seasons. Below are the top performers from the eight state championships.

Donovan EdwardsDonovanEdwards5'11" | RBWest Bloomfield | 2021StateMI, RB, West Bloomfield

Donovan rushed 14 times for 257 yards and three touchdowns in West Bloomfield’s 41-0 win over Davison in the Division 1 state title game. Two of his runs went for 70+ yards.

Brady RoseBradyRose5'8" | WRMona Shores | 2021StateMI, ATH, Mona Shores

Brady rushed 22 times for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns in Mona Shores’25-19 win over Warren De La Salle in the Division 5 title game. Brady also returned three kicks for 48 yards, had eight tackles on defense, and averaged 39 yards on three punts.

Will Beesly, De La Salle

Will recorded 20 tackles (17 solo) against Mona Shores.

Tyler Holtz, QB, DeWitt

Tyler completed 12 of 16 passes for 177 yards and four touchdowns in DeWitt’s 40-30 win over River Rouge in the Division 3 championship. Holtz also rushed for 118 yards and a score.

Mareyohn completed 11 of 21 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 20 times for 97 yards and two scores.

Joey SilveriJoeySilveri6'0" | QBGrand Rapids Catholic Central | 2022StateMI, QB, GRCC Joey completed 9 of 15 passes for 172 yards and three scores and rushed for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns in Grand Rapids Catholic Central’s 48-21 win over Frankenmuth in the Division 5 title game. Nick HollernNickHollern5'8" | RBGrand Rapids Catholic Central | 2021MI, RB, GRCC Nick rushed 26 times for 192 yards and one touchdown. Ben Reinert, Frankenmuth Ben recorded 12 tackles and caught two passes for 38 yards. Drew CollinsDrewCollins6'3" | QBMontague | 2021StateMI, QB, Montague Drew completed 15 of 19 passes for 244 yards and 3 touchdowns and rushed eight times for 52 yards in Montague’s 40-14 win over Clinton in the Division 6 state championship. Brayden Randolph, RB/LB, Clinton Brandon rushed 23 times for 194 yards and recorded eight tackles on defense. Julius Garza, ATH, New Lothrop Garza compiled 248 total yards in New Lothrop’s 42-35 win over Traverse City St. Francis in the Division 7 state championship. Garza caught two touchdown passes, ran for a touchdown, and returned a kickoff for an 83-yard score. Aiden Schmuckal, RB, Traverse City St. Francis Aiden rushed 17 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 21 yards. On defense, Aiden recorded five tackles and one sack. Sam Todd, QB, Centreville Sam completed 6 of 7 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 19 times for 70 yards and one score in Centreville’s 22-0 win over Ubly in the Division 8 title game. Tyler SwanwickTylerSwanwick6'3" | WRCentreville | 2022MI, WR, Centreville Tyler caught four passes for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns.
