With so many football programs favoring the passing schemes, finding valuable wide receivers is a must. Colorado has no shortage of talented receivers, some of whom have gone to other states and excelled against some of the area’s top competition.
Below is a list of names who could be instant contributors to a college program.
Burke is perhaps one of the more underrated receivers in the state. He tallied 466 receiving yards on 38 catches with two touchdowns over the course of his career. Both touchdowns and 301 of those yards were recorded during his final season. He is a tall receiver with sharp route-running skills, excellent ball-tracking abilities, and phenomenal hands. Burris is a talented athlete whose recruiting has also begun to take off. He ended his high school career with 1,279 receiving yards on 96 catches with 17 receiving touchdowns. In addition to his receiving stats, Burris tallied 356 rushing yards, 585 return yards, and 11 non-receiving touchdowns. With 2,214 all-purpose yards and 28 total touchdowns during the last three years of his career, Burris is a player to know, so be sure to check out his senior highlights here.

Hestera showed a lot of promise during the offseason and did not disappoint when the time came. However, due to the impacts of the fall season’s uncertainty, Hestera transferred from Colorado to Texas for his highly anticipated senior year. The former Ralston Valley Mustang balled out in a season that ended with a 5A D1 Texas state championship trip. Hestera ended his senior campaign with a total of 1,032 receiving yards on 51 receptions with 16 touchdowns, earning him a spot on the District 11-5A first-team. Hestera has proven to be a highly talented player who possesses the ability to adapt, adjust, and succeed no matter where he goes. Check out his senior highlights here.

What initially stands out about Horn is his height. He is a tall and lengthy receiver who knows how to utilize his basketball skills on the gridiron. Horn played 18 games during his three years as a varsity player, tallying 463 total receiving yards on 25 receptions with seven touchdowns. Tucker Myers | Sterling | 6’3”
During his high school career, Myers totaled 1,353 receiving yards on 68 receptions with 12 touchdowns. He is a two-way player who tallied 83 total tackles, six pass deflections, and eight interceptions over the course of his high school career. Hill Jr. is listed as a running back, but his entire skillset as an athlete makes it impossible to leave his name off this list. Over the course of his junior and senior seasons, he tallied 1,636 rushing yards on 269 carries with 13 rushing touchdowns.
