The names you should know by now, Ray-Pec’s Jaidyn Doss Jaidyn Doss 6'0" | 200 lbs | WR Raymore-Pecuilar | 2023 State MO , St. Mary’s Chase Hendricks Chase Hendricks 5'11" | 185 lbs | WR St. Mary's | 2023 State MO , and DeSmet’s Allen Mitchell Allen Mitchell 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Lutheran-St. Charles | 2023 State MO , all have P5 offers. But let’s focus on a few other wideouts who are ranked in the class of 2023.
Fredrick Moore Fredrick Moore 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Cardinal Ritter | 2023 State MO , Cardinal Ritter (No. 3 WR and No. 14 overall)
Moore has an early offer from Kansas but the smooth athlete is bound to garner at least double digits by this time next year. The long, lean receiver is explosive out of his breaks, has powerful stop/start ability and quick hands. As with any young player, with added size and strength, Moore is going to be a beast and should become the focus of the offense this fall.
Dakotah Mayo Dakotah Mayo 5'8" | 160 lbs | WR CBC | 2023 State MO , Christian Brothers College (No. 4 WR and No. 15 overall)
Mayo has college-level body control as a sophomore. The rising junior plays under control and can get from top speed to settled in the blink of an eye. Mayo concentrated well on the thrown ball and makes difficult catches look easy. Already offered by Kansas as well, look for Mayo and QB Patrick Heiert to re-write the record books for the Cadets offense in 2021.
Taj Gurley Taj Gurley 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Francis Howell | 2023 State MO , Francis Howell (No. 5 WR and No. 28 overall)
Gurley didn’t get a ton of action as a sophomore but when he got the ball in his hands, he showed out. The sophomore is powerfully built and is not afraid of contact. You can get a glimpse of his physicality when he plays defense. With a strong offseason at camps and showcases, Gurley may walk away with a few offers. But if not, a solid 2021 season garners tons of college looks.
Elijah Burnett Elijah Burnett 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Hayti | 2023 State MO , Hayti (No. 8 and No. 49 overall)
One word describes Burnett: SPEED! I would put this young man up against any of the fastest guys in the country for his age. You can FEEL his speed on game tape. Though he lacks ideal size, if you can’t touch him, you can’t stop him. An innovative college coach is going to fall in love with Burnett and he will have a weapon in his hands.
