Marcus Mosley Jr. | Pearl
Natural, easy athleticism oozes out of Mosley who is a long strider with easy speed. The rising Jackson area senior possesses a projectable CB frame to the next level with elite change of direction skills. Mosley has a good understanding of coverages and schemes and wins battles with brains in addition to his athleticism. Great usage of eyes is evident with the game of Mosley, as he plays cat and mouse type games with QB’s. Mosley will be a name known in all recruiting circles in-state by the end of the camp season this upcoming summer.
Cedrick Beavers Cedrick Beavers 5'8" | 145 lbs | DB Taylorsville | 2022 State MS | Taylorsville
Elite talent historically runs through Taylorsville, which has become a Mississippi football powerhouse. That type of talent is present in Beavers who has freakishly long arm length to go along with a lean frame. Ability to see what is coming before it materializes pops up with Beavers, who is a constant hassle to deal with for opposing receivers. Operating in size disadvantages does not deter the projected corner. Above average straight line speed and overall athleticism is present, with willingness to step up and contribute physically as a tackler. Beavers has raw tools that need to be refined, but could see a huge recruiting boost due to the camp scene this summer.
Davien LaGarde Davien LaGarde 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB St. Stanislaus | 2022 State MS | St. Stanislaus
At 6″0 180lb, LaGarde has prototype body as a next level CB. Twitchy athleticism with great burst in and out of cuts/breaks jumps off the film for LaGarde. Impressive Point A to Point B speed. Willing tackler. Good understanding of his role. Biggest question regarding LaGarde circles around which side of the ball he belongs on, for now he is most projectable as a DB but possesses some skills that resemble a slot receiver/scat back. Expect a big JR to SR year leap for LaGarde as he continues to mature against some of the best competition in the state.
