Arms Race For 2024 Heating Up
When it comes to the quarterback position, we have said it over and over again – here in the state of Florida.
While we produce some top quarterback prospects each year, it hasn’t been up to par with some of the impressive states across the country, who seem to develop and churn out top-rated signal callers every year.
In the past few years, with quality coaching in the off-season and more competition being developed, the position has started to take off in Florida – with more collegiate prospects than ever before.
One of the classes that is ready to help change the quarterback position is this current freshman class – the gifted young men in 2024.
Today, we take a look at five of those freshmen, who are anxious for the 2021 season to arrive – and they will all be visible this off-season.
Tyler Aronson, 6-2, 200, North Palm Beach Benjamin. Very few prospects have enjoyed the build up that this impressive talent did before he ever took a snap this season. A much-heralded youth passer, who made several all-star teams and was recognized nationally for his strong arm and athletic ability. Had an outstanding first varsity season with a playoff game as well. As he grows and matures, this is definitely someone who will continue to develop into a big-time talent.

Elijah Brown, 6-1, 180, Seffner Christian. Already playing at the varsity level for two years, this is someone that is going to be very special. Strong arm, athletic and picks things up quickly. You watch him throw the ball and his mechanics are solid and is arm strength and accuracy have impressed plenty of people. Add in the fact that he can run when needed, and this 3.8 (GPA) student, who is also enrolled to take college courses, is indeed one to keep an eye on.

Luke Knight, 5-10 170, Tampa Jesuit. Even with record-setting passer Joe Pesansky lighting it up for the Tigers this past season during an amazing year, here is someone who found a way to showcase skills that he has been known for over the past three years – back in his youth football days. A strong and accurate arm and the ability to run when needed. This is indeed one of the fastest-rising stars, who has taken part in enough showcases and camps to ease into the position in 2021 as a sophomore with so much ahead of him in his career. His 4.1 GPA is also something that college coaches are watching!

Adrian Posse, 6-5, 200, Miami Monsignor Pace. In an area that is not known for producing nationally-rated prospects at the quarterback position, here is someone who more than has a chance to climb the ladder and become that impressive prospect that everyone has been waiting for. His size, arm strength and knowledge of the game will make this young man something special for years to come. Head Coach Mario Perez knows plenty about developing top-flight quarterbacks, and after watching this talented football player perform for two years, the next three seasons should be very interesting for the Spartans.

Jesse Winslette, 6-4, 180, Fort Walton Beach Choctawhatchee. As we know, the Panhandle often produces some impressive football talent – and after watching this promising young man perform, you can add another to that growing list. You have to love everything about Jesse. From his mechanics, accuracy and passion for the game, this is a prospect who is never finished learning, and that’s why after one year at the high school level, he is already considered one of the future game changers who is ready to get it going now.
