An abundance of talent was in attendance and although we would like to write about them all in one article, the reality of that is not possible. There were over 70 teams and lots of players and fans in attendance. We highlighted a few who stood out amongst the crowd and showcased their ability on the field. Let’s take a look at which athletes made the list.

Ronald ” Champ” Lewis ( 22 ) | 6-2 DB | Warren Easton HS ( LA )
Champ was very impressive on the first day of the tournament. Flying around the ball on defense and making plays. It seems as if the quarterbacks had predetermined they were not going to test Champ and his elite pass coverage skills. If he did get a ball thrown his way it was either swatted or batted down with an interception as another possibility. Catching up with him at the tournament, he was a super humbled athlete who has many offers to play at the next level. He said he is still considering all of his offers but that the University of Virginia and LSU are among the favorites. LSU hasn’t offered Champ as of yet, but that could change.
Jordan Allen ( 22 ) | 6-0 DB | Lafayette Christian Academy ( LA )
Seeing Jordan on the field in person, was like seeing a man amongst boys. This guy truly standouts out from the crowd with his physical size and physical play on the field. At DB Jordan was shutdown all tournament long. Batting down passes and locking up receivers. Jordan currently has 26 college offers but said that he is still considering them all and weighing all options. He said” I don’t have a set place I want to go as of yet, but I cant wait to go and visit colleges in person, because of COVID, it really affected everything as far as recruiting. ”
Jacoby Davis ( 23 ) | 5-11 DB | Northshore Senior HS ( TX )
Jacoby just received an offer from the University of Auburn and has plenty more. What I saw when I watched him play was very tough, physical play on defense. Jamming receivers at the LOS. Trailing them well and attacking every ball thrown his way relentlessly. This is a fierce competitor and the new age of DBs who are able to not only cover the pass but that can tackle as well. In this day in age with the RPOS, bubble screen passes, and everything else offenses can do, you need a physical corner like Davis that can knock receivers off their routes and or eliminate runningbacks or receivers carrying the ball. When I met him, he seemed like a good, humble guy as well and very respectable. I just love when I profile guys who are humble like these guys mentioned because it shows they can handle both success and failure — proficiently.
Laterrance Welch ( 22 ) | 6-1 WR / DB | Acadiana HS ( LA )
Laterrance looked bigger in person than on his tape, partly due to his impressive wingspan and vertical ability. He has amazing speed and a great burst off the ball. He can make defenders, lose their balance with his quick cuts and physical play. He showed his strength at the tournament playing as a tough, physical receiver. He just committed to play for Ed Orgeron and the LSU tigers last month on the 24th.
Darian Riggs ( 22 ) | 5-9 WR | Lafayette Christian Academy ( LA )
Darian showed off his elite speed and agility and the tournament. Catching nearly everything thrown his way. He was flying all over the field making plays for his team. I think what stood out the most was his catching ability, showing amazing hands, and his vertical ability, more than makes up for his statue. Has interest from colleges like Hawaii, Coastal Carolina, and Southern Miss
Kendrick Reescano ( 23 ) | 5-11 RB | New Caney ( TX )
The athletic ability in this guy is amazing. He has truly gifted abilities from his age and he showed why he is being so highly recruited at the moment. He plays fast and physical. Has a great stature and athletic build. He showed great pursuit of the ball and great pass coverage skills. He recently received his first of many division ones offers to play for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Mike Gundy and his wonderful mullet!
Kaleb Black Kaleb Black 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Klein Oak | 2023 State TX ( 23 ) | 5-10 WR | Klein Oaks HS ( TX )
Kaleb flashed impressive timing on his routes and showed off his high pointing ability on contested throws. Dangerous in catch-and-run situations, he will leave defenders running to the trainers asking for more ankle tap. This kid can fly and is generally a good hands catcher. Holds offers to Houston, Kansas, and Tulsa.
Obinna Okeke ( 23 ) | 6-2 OLB | Cypress Falls HS ( TX )
Obinna is going to be a player to watch for the following years to come and will be on a lot of big-time recruiting boards. I like his overall athleticism and speed. We all know speed kills, so having a linebacker like this, that can fly all over the field is essential
Braylon Thomas ( 24 ) | 5-11 DB | West Columbia ( TX )
Braylon is a two-sport athlete who plays football and runs track. He has dangerous speed and agility. He tracks the ball and attacks it. Light on his feet and shows impressive ability to flip his hips and run with the receiver.
