Kolt Pearce Kolt Pearce 6'6" | TE Gilman | 2022 State MD , 6’6″, 200, Gilman, 2022, JR
Kolt’s clear and number one attribute is his size. His frame gives him an absurdly large catch radius, which he is able to use to his advantage. His ability to catch the ball at a higher point than any other player on the field, making higher thrown passes nearly un-guardable. He also does an excellent job executing comeback routes specifically. He’s able to use his strength to throw a grabby defender off of him and the reach to catch the ball in a place they cannot defend. Kolt has also demonstrated the ability to use his long strides to run past opposing defensive backs, putting him in the position to make explosive plays down the field. As a blocker, Kolt does a great job of using his frame and strength to deliver powerful blocks on smaller defensive backs. I see Kolt as an excellent jump ball receiver and red zone threat, with the potential for an even greater role, making him an ideal college prospect.
Ike White Ike White 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR St. Frances | 2022 State MD , 6’0″, 175, St. Frances, 2022, JR
Ike is a very twitchy receiver with an excellent ability to catch the ball in traffic. He’s able to his twitchiness to avoid the press and efficiently get off of the line of scrimmage without allowing the defender to disrupt his route. Ike also demonstrates excellent concentration by bringing in passes through contact on crossing routes and other well-defended routes. When given the space to do so, he displays the ability to use his speed and twitchiness to make defenders miss and generate yards after the catch. Ike is also a very willing blocker. He does a great job picking the proper angle and using his speed to cut off his man. He’s also the receiver you want performing the crack block on your toss play because he delivers physical blows that remove the defenders from the play and force them to think twice about his surroundings. Ike’s ability to contribute to an offense in more than one way from the receiver position makes him an excellent addition to any team and a quality prospect.
Tyler Baskett, 6’0″, 180, Northern, 2022, JR
Tyler’s most impressive attribute is the big-play potential his speed gives him. He’s able to use his speed to create distance between him and the defender on streaks down the field, leading to explosive plays and touchdowns. He’s also an excellent route runner. He’s able to use excellent footwork to pull off a wide range of the route tree, from out-and-ups to slants or comebacks. He’s demonstrated the ability to catch the ball in a variety of ways, such as over the shoulder, high point, and in traffic. Tyler is also an excellent blocker whose physical at the point of attack. He does a good job of getting his hands on the corner’s press plate so he can control them. He also does a great job searching for blocks throughout the play, which helps spring runners lose late for huge gains. I believe Tyler resembles a prototype receiver because he can win multiple ways and has reliable hands, making him a quality prospect and potential number 1 guy.
Jeremiah Franklin Jeremiah Franklin 6'4" | 230 lbs | TE Walkersville | 2022 State MD , 6’4″, 220, Walkersville, 2022, JR
Jeremiah plays the flex tight end position but makes this list because he emphasizes the “flex” in the name. Jeremiah has the athleticism to play out wide just as well as he does from the line of scrimmage. Jeremiah’s ability to gain yards after the catch using his strength to run through tackles and the speed to outrun defenders is special. From both receiver and tight end, he’s able to turn short routes into explosive plays and has the speed to get behind the defense on streaks and flys. Jeremiah has also demonstrated the ability to navigate the field on tight end screens and has the athleticism and speed to turn them into explosives. Being a tight end, he also has some excellent blocking ability. He’s demonstrated the ability to control defensive ends with physical drive blocks and technical reach blocks that help his team get the edge. Jeremiah’s wide range of usage makes him an incredible weapon from the tight end position that can open up several different options for an offense, making him an elite college prospect.
