There are also several very good Quarterbacks that are currently under the radar and are looking to improve upon their very good Sophomore season in 2020 or have a breakout Junior season in 2021. Here are five of those players.
Noah Khokhar Noah Khokhar 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Hutchinson | 2023 State KS , 5’9, 135, Hutchinson
Noah Khokhar Noah Khokhar 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Hutchinson | 2023 State KS is the 7th ranked QB and the 41st ranked player overall in the class of 2023. In 2020, he played mostly as a WR for the Salthawks where he lined up primarily in the slot. He replaces the 6’7 245 lb Myles Thompson. As he transitions into the role as starting QB, he will use his very good play speed and athletic ability to make himself a dual threat. The added dimension to his game as a runner will make him difficult to stop and will help enable Hutchinson to improve on the 8-2 record that they had in 2020.

Dylan Bice Dylan Bice 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Thunder Ridge | 2023 State KS is the 8th ranked QB and the 44th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. He had a very good sophomore season in 2020 where he completed 86 of 146 passes for 1,394 yards and 15 TD while rushing for 973 yards on 129 carries and scored 14 TD. He sees the field well as he makes several reads while trying to find the open receiver, throws the deep ball with very good accuracy and touch and can even deliver the ball accurately in awkward positions. On zone reads and option runs, he uses his very good play speed and athletic ability to avoid and outrun all defenders for large gains and touchdowns.

Eric Erbe Eric Erbe 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Chanute | 2023 State KS is the 11th ranked QB and the 56th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. In 2023, he completed 6 of 13 passes for 84 yards and a TD. He also rushed for 7 yards on 2 carries. He scans the defense very quickly at the snap of the ball, finds the open receiver and delivers the ball on the correct shoulder maximizing yards after the catch. He does a good job escaping the rush from DL and blitzing LB as he uses his very good athletic ability and play speed to get to the outside while keeping his eyes downfield the whole time and is able to deliver the ball accurately while on the move.

Gabe Welch Gabe Welch 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Arkansas City | 2023 State KS is the 12th ranked QB and the 59th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. He had an incredible sophomore season in 2020. He completed 235 of 367 passes for 2679 yards and 12 TD. He also rushed for 212 yards on 156 carries and 12 TD. He uses his good football intelligence to process the defense, shows good arm strength as he is able to throw the ball 40+ yards on a rope with ease with very good accuracy as he throws receivers open in all areas on the field on short, intermediate and deep passes. He is predominantly a pocket passer but he does display the mobility to escape the rush from DL and LB and run for a first down when need be.

Kade Harris Kade Harris 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH TMP | 2023 State KS is the 14th ranked QB and the 66th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. He had a great sophomore season in 2020 as he completed 60 of 113 passes for 1,212 yards and 16 TD. He also rushed for 865 yards on 151 carries and 9 TD. He processes the defense while keeping his eyes downfield and escaping the rush of a blitzing LB, passes the ball accurately on the move to a place where only the receiver can catch it. He is a mobile QB as he uses his good quickness to get to the outside or off-tackle, runs behind his pads while displaying good physical and mental toughness as he lowers his shoulder and runs over a DB and falls forward for a few extra yards.
