These defensive players could be in the mix to win defensive player of the year within the state for next season!

Braxton had a big junior season and showed monster potential for this upcoming season. He showed impressive explosion with being a bigger line backer and showed his ability to run down any play with his speed. He filled gaps accordingly and was a consistent tackler for Martinsburg in his junior year. He shows big play ability and should see his leadership and playing role expand on both sides of the ball and continue to progress and make big plays for Martinsburg. Look for division 1 schools to be on his radar following his impressive junior year.

Nemo was one of the most dominant players in all of the state last year. He shows great explosion on his first step for being a interior lineman and showed his athleticism off with playing both in the exterior and outside playing defensive end. He consistently disrupts the pocket and often times gets double teamed and triple teamed to keep him out
