Kicking off our list of 2024’s is a tandem from Fitch consisting of DJ Williams and Dan Evans, along with the others on this list are going to be on many D1’s recruiting radars very soon.
DJ Williams 5’9 195 RB- The talented Williams would have started for a lot of schools in Ohio as a freshman. At Fitch, however, he was relegated to back up duties due to talented sophomore Jamel James. In 2021 Williams will look to force his way on the field. DJ is a dynamic runner who runs with authority. He has great instincts and vision. At 5’9 195 pounds he runs with a low center of gravity that makes it hard for opposing defenders to try and take down. The impressive thing is that in spite of his physical running style Williams has great suddenness and ability to cut. He also has good acceleration that pops when you see him burst through the line of scrimmage. DJ definitely has the traits of a D1 running back.
Dan Evans 5’6 136 CB- Evans may be slight of stature at this point in his career, but don’t let that fool you, he cancover for days. Evans started every game at cornerback for a Falcons team that played as strong a D2 schedule as you’ll find. He’s an easy athlete with a game beyond his years . When you watch Evan’s film he simply blankets receivers. He’s able to mirror receivers on the short routes and has the fluid hips and speed to turn and run with them as well. Evans has the bloodlines as well, as his father Dan Evans Sr. played cornerback at Auburn. As he continues to grow and fill out he has the skillset and athleticism to become a very highly recruited cornerback.
Rayvonn Harris 5’9 155 WR/DB Dayton Stebbins- Whether lining up at CB, WR, or Returner this kid is a baller. Rayvonn has great speed and movement skills that allow him to excel at pretty much an position the Indians put him at. At wide receiver he uses his speed to stretch the field vertically as evidenced by his 19.2 yards per catch average. He had 3 receiving TD’s. At corner he has fluid hips to turn and run and the speed to run with the fastest receivers. On his only punt return attempt he took it 59 yards to the house. Rayvonn definitely has the look of a D1 athlete in the making.
Delamarr Blanton 6’0 165 WR Trotwood Madison- Trotwood Madison has had a D1 pipeline for the better part of the last 2 decades, and there’s no end in sight. When you watch Banton what pops out is his athleticism. His footwork and release off the line of scrimmage are strong. Once he gets into his route he’s smooth athlete who has good length and catch radius. As he continues to get stronger and his route running advances he’s going to evolve into a very sought after high school athlete.
