At Prep Redzone, our goal is give D2, D3 and JUCO recruits the same coverage we give the Power Five prospects. We also strive to cover younger prospects and bring attention to future stars. In Part 1 and Part 2 of this series, I looked at 10 prospects I consider to be among the best in the state. In this installment, I’ll break down the five players I currently have ranked at the top of my personal sophomore rankings.

Tyler JeffriesTylerJeffries6'5" | OLAlcoa | 2023TN, 6’4 290, OT- Alcoa

Jeffries is massive but moves incredibly well for his size. He’s a 2-way player, but his future is on the offensive line where he could be a star in college. He loves to run block and finishes violently. He’s athletic enough to get to the second level of the defense and open massive holes for his running backs. Already holding on offer from Georgia Tech, Jeffries should continue to see success on the recruiting trail.

Shamar PorterShamarPorter6'3" | WREnsworth | 2023TN, 6’4 190, WR- Ensworth

Porter is 6’4, but runs like he’s 5’11 and has good route running ability. Simply put, he’s a matchup nightmare on the outside, too big from smaller corners
