Grabbing the Spotlight: Brooks Edmonson Offensive Line Bryant
The Bryant Hornets have built a dynasty over the past few years in central Arkansas. The Hornets earned another state championship last season and the Hornets’ offensive line came up huge in the process. We are going to highlight one of the anchors on the Bryant offensive line Brooks Edmonson Brooks Edmonson 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Bryant | 2022 State AR in this article.
In talking with Brooks earlier this week, it is apparent that the goals for the Hornets are the same as they have been the past few seasons. The Bryant football team places a big priority on producing quality leaders. Edmonson is ready for his class of seniors to step up and lead the team. The Hornets have been an extremely successful program and it is important to the upcoming class of seniors to keep the run going.
Meanwhile, Edmonson has areas that he would like focus on improving before entering fall camp. He wants to get faster and improve his quickness. Edmonson is already very quick out of the snap and getting into the opposing defender, so any improvements in speed is going to make Edmonson very tough to handle. He would also like to continue to get stronger and to continue to improve along the offensive line. Edmonson is an extremely versatile offensive lineman and working on his speed and strength this offseason is going to make him stick out to college scouts.
From a recruiting perspective, Edmonson is starting to blow up and catch the attention of scouts. He has had a solid high school career, so it should come as no surprise that college scouts are wanting to secure his commitment. Edmonson has earned scholarship offers from Georgetown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, and Middle Tennessee State. He will have the opportunity to impress plenty of other schools this offseason and next season. The opportunity to perform in some team camps should be there this offseason and his performance on the field next season will earn Edmonson plenty of scholarship offers. The bottom line is Edmonson a solid offensive linemen and the college that secures his commitment is gaining a future starter along the offensive line.
