In today’s Grabbing the Spotlight, we are going to learn a little more about the player that is starting to draw the attention of some major college football scouts.
In 2020, Walker played a number of positions for the Grizzlies. He gave Northside an explosive big play threat from all over the field. Last season we saw Catsavis play the wide receiver and the quarterback positions for the Grizzlies. He is a playmaker at both positions, and he will likely see some snaps at both positions for the 2021 season.
Catsavis is playing basketball as well as getting some football work in this offseason. He is going to be taking part in seven-on-seven play as well as playing basketball for the Grizzlies. From a receiving perspective, Catsavis gives the quarterback a big target at 6-5 that can make most difficult receptions look easy. He is a quick wide receiver that can use his size to give opposing defensive backs problems. Meanwhile, from the quarterback position, Catsavis does a great job of keeping his eyes down the field and extending the play with the use of his legs.
The goals he has for the offseason are pretty standard. Catsavis wants to be able to get bigger and stronger and get him ready for a tough 2021 season. He is always focused on the team improving and he would like the Grizzlies to win the conference and make a run for the state championship. Northside has always been a talented team and making a deep playoff run is not going to be out of the question for the 2021 season.
Recruiting is starting to heat up for Catsavis. He is starting to hear from schools like Georgetown, Navy, Colombia, and Memphis to just name a few. However, the Arkansas Razorbacks are going to look hard at Catsavis. He is a red zone target that go up and high point the football. Catsavis creates mismatches and division one coaches are going to start scouting him and looking at every piece of film they can find on him. He is going to make plenty of noise and his recruiting should be a fun story to follow over the next few months.
