Over the next several months, we will identify some of the Garden State’s best 2023 football prospects. The list will contain include Division I, Division II, and Division III prospects.
Today, we look at five promising 2023 wide receiver prospects.
Kahlil Ali Ι 6-1 190 Ι Pennsauken HS

One of the top defensive players in the class was also one of the top offensive players in his class this past season. He caught 25 passes for 550 yards and eight touchdowns. It’s hard to ignore that type of production despite the fact he’s going to most likely be a safety at the next level. There are a few highlights of him winning battles in the red zone. Ali has offers from Boston College, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and West Virginia.
Famah Toure Ι 6-4 195 Ι Irvington HS

Rutgers and Temple have both offered Toure. Glimpses of Toure’s potential flashed during his freshman and sophomore years. It’s hard to ignore a wide receiver at his size and not think about his upside. He’s a player that I would love to see more of during the offseason.
Ejani Shakir Ι 6-0 175 Ι Pennsauken HS
Hudl Profile:
Shakir caught 28 passes for 548 yards and six touchdowns in six games during the 2020 season. That’s a healthy 19.6 yards per catch. The plays on his highlight video showcase his speed, hands, vision, and playmaking ability. I can see him being a big part of some school’s kick return game too. He’s clearly mismatch for anybody trying to cover him in the slot. Shakir has offers from Boston College, Florida State, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, and West Virginia.
Nassir Addison Ι 6-3 190 Ι Irvington HS

Addison caught 16 passes for 279 yards and one touchdown in six games during his sophomore year campaign. He’s a big target that isn’t afraid to make the tough catches across the middle. He’s a strider that devours up the cushion of defensive backs. Addison has offers from Maryland, Massachusetts, Syracuse, and Temple.
Sahfee Yasin- Spann Ι 5-10 165 Ι St. Joseph Regional HS

Here is where you’ll have to trust me on this one. I’ve evaluated Yasin-Spann twice in the past 4-5 weeks. His highlights give you a brief glimpse of his speed and route-running. I’ve taken an extended look at him at a couple of camps and he’s going to glow when he gets his shot. He has the speed, quickness in and out of routes, has expert hands, and will block.
