Christopher Lanney Christopher Lanney 6'7" | 315 lbs | OL Cleveland Central | 2022 State MS | OL | Cleveland Central
Coming in at 6’7″ 315 pounds, Lanney is one of the largest players in the state of Mississippi. Last season, the enormous offensive lineman served as the starting right tackle for Cleveland Central. While Lanney currently reports no offers from any collegiate programs, that should change soon as coaches begin to see the prospect in person at camps. Lanney has extraordinary length for the position and has greatly improved his upper body strength over the years. Playing nasty and with an edge is the main part of Lanney’s game that we love. He is an explosive run blocker who finishes by laying on top of opponents. Despite being so big, Lanney is quick on his feet and shows the athleticism that coaches love for pass protection. The sky is the limit as far as Lanney’s potential is concerned.
Jamar Kaho Jr. | WR | Jefferson County
At 6’5″ 190, Kaho is a red-zone nightmare for defensive backs. After a productive junior season, Kaho began to receive interest from Group of Five programs around the southeast, but has yet to receive his first offer. Not only a great football player, Kaho is one of the state’s most impressive basketball players on the court. Multi-sport athletes are all the rave nowadays, and Kaho will soon reap the rewards of it. His arm length allows him to go over corners and safeties heads to pluck the ball down. It is nearly impossible to overthrow him as he can turn and adjust to any ball in the area. With improved long speed and overall twitch, Kaho can be a prototypical X receiver at the next level. However, he also shows the potential to bulk up and play the slot tight end role that is becoming popular in spread offenses around the country.
Cartize Booth Cartize Booth 6'4" | 205 lbs | DL Bay Springs | 2022 State MS | OLB/ DL | Bay Springs
A freakish under the radar linebacker/defensive lineman hybrid, Booth comes in at 6’4″ 215. His first season back was one for the books, as Booth collected offers from Southern Miss, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, and Tulane earlier this month. Booth reminds us similar of prospects John Lewis (Mississippi State 2021) and Seahawks linebacker KJ Wright due to his length and athleticism. Right now, Booth alternates between lining up with his hand in the dirt and in a two point stance at outside linebacker. His speed and ability to change direction will make him a game wrecker at the next level. Booth also uses his hands well to create separation between himself and offensive linemen. He plays fast and hits offensive players with violence in the backfield. It will be no surprise to us when Booth signs with a Power Five level program this December or next February.
