3* Brian Mannion Brian Mannion 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Mountainside | 2022 State OR 6-3 180 QB Mountainside- Mannion is going to blow up. This is the biggest guarantee out of everybody. Oregon St, Cal, and Colorado are all close as he will be a double digit D1 offer athlete. Everyone is aware of the Mannion name and the success which comes with it.
Cole Prusia Cole Prusia 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-3 185 ATH Tualatin- I’m a big advocate of Prusia with his size and overall versatility. It’s rare to see a big athlete play the CB spot so well, but his fluidity is impressive. Separate from his defensive ability he has torched secondaries on the 7v7 circuit at WR playing for Team Lillard. He is an unquestioned D1 KID in my opinion.
Mikey Gibson 6-2 190 QB Canby– Not a lot of people know about Gibson yet but they will. In five starts as a Sophomore he accounted for 1,652 yards (410 rushing) and 13 TDs/3 INTs, hitting on 61% of his passes in the state’s toughest conference. Head Coach Jimmy Joyce compares him to former CAL QB Kevin Riley and current Colorado quarterback Sam Noyer, both who he coached.
Malik Ross Malik Ross 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-0 190 ATH Tualatin- Get used to the name as he is a phenomenal overall athlete. Ross earned Honorable Mention all TRL honors as a Sophomore and should be considered one of the top return men in the Northwest.
Brooks Ferguson Brooks Ferguson 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB West Salem | 2022 State OR 6-5 215 QB West Salem- The son of Western Oregon Head Coach Arne Ferguson is a three-sport athlete and grew up around the game. His size and overall football IQ will help him at the next level, being in the mix from a very young age.
Royce Fasel Royce Fasel 6'0" | 225 lbs | LB Glencoe | 2022 State OR 6-0 210 LB/RB Glencoe- The only kid in Oregon at the 6A level to earn all state accolades as a Sophomore. Fasel will go down as one of the most decorated athletes ever to come out of GHS. Speed is the question which is continually brought up when referencing his recruitment, but I would consider him the exception to the rule and a unquestioned D1 athlete at some level.
Max Von Arx Max Von Arx 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR Grant | 2022 State OR 6-4 190 WR Grant- A lot of people don’t know about Max yet but he is legit. He earned 2nd team all-conference honors as a Sophomore impressing with his size and ability after the catch. Teammate Luke Borchardt Luke Borchardt 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Grant | 2021 State OR committed to Idaho and I would put von Arx in that category and then some.
Dylan Layne Dylan Layne 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Lake Oswego | 2022 State OR 6-2 200 Safety Lake Oswego- Layne’s stock has jumped a great deal in the last few months. Once they are actually allowed back on the field look for the All-Conference returner to be dominant and impress with his smarts and physicality.
