Perhaps it’s the way the season came to an end – with the Eagles beating Crawfordville Wakulla (28-21 OT) and Live Oak Suwannee (21-20) before dropping a 28-19 decision to a solid 5A team in Baker County.
What this program is looking for in 2021 are for many of those underclassmen from this past season to step up and continue to make this program special.
RISING SENIORS SET THE TONE
As many of the younger prospects will be counted on this coming season, Class of 2022 offensive standouts such as quarterback Dalton Biggs, a 6-3, 175-pounder, running back Gavin Grice and receiver Joseph Garrett will be huge this off-season for talent and leadership.
On defense, linemen Rasheed Lovelace and Jaquan Fank, and linebackers Deontrez McLamb and Raymond Moore are all special and will be counted on.
For the Class of 2023, the Eagles feature offensive standouts in 6-2, 220-pound quarterback Tierra Wilson, running back Kobe Johnson and athletic Tyrese Thomas.
In addition, defensive end standout Elijah Douglas, linebacker Tylin Nettles and defensive back Cameron Kelly are all prospects that the coaching staff is excited about.
Nettles is also an impressive tight end.
After a rough season, here is a program with impressive coaching and solid players to make another playoff run.
