Here is a look at those six-athletes led by offensive and defensive lineman ranked in the Prep Redzone Kansas Class of 2021 Player Rankings.
OL, Alex Bonilla Alex Bonilla 6'2" | 270 lbs | OL Maize South | 2021 State KS , 6’1”, 260, Maize South – Bonilla is a very athletic big man. He was ranked in the Top 200 players in the Class of 2021. He played in a balanced Maverick offense so he can run block and pass block. He also plays Lacrosse, so he moves well for an offensive lineman.
DL, Marco Flores, 6’3”, 160, Olathe East – Flores played defensive tackle, but he is fast enough to play defensive end. He was a leader for the Hawks defense and could be a locker room leader for MNU. Depending on where the Pioneers want to use him, he would need to add some additional weight.
DB, Cael Lynch Cael Lynch 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Eudora | 2021 State KS , 5’10”, 210, Eudora – Lynch ranks up tackles like the federal government accumulates debt. The Eudora Cardinal is a tackle machine. He finished his 2020 season with 156 tackles, 51 of which were solo, and nine of which were for a loss. Lynch was the 20th ranked ATH in the Class of 2021 by Prep Redzone Kansas. He did have over 500 all-purpose yards on offense, but he was built to play defense.
RB, Keenan Brown, 5’10”, 175, Leavenworth – Brown is a speedster having clocked a 4.6 forty. He rushed for more than 900 yards in his senior season. Brown is also a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield as he had more than 200 yards in receiving yards. Brown will compete for a starting spot in the future, but his first chance for playing time could come on special teams.
WR, Jacob Boone, 5’8”, 155, St. James Academy – Boone is a solid route runner with great hands. He made 22 catches in his senior season and scored three touchdowns. He has the ability to break tackles and will be a solid possession receiver.
LB, Tanner Thompson, 6’0”, 200, Spring Hill – Thompson is a talented linebacker who will get the chance to get bigger and stronger on the Atchison campus. He plays with high energy and can run down ball carriers who think they are in the clear.
