Zachary Sutton Zachary Sutton 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Shadow Ridge | 2021 State AZ , 6’1″ 175lbs, Shadow Ridge HS
Sutton shows a solid initial burst and hits top speed quickly. He has good top end speed and holds massive big play ability. Good route runner overall, and can take the top off a defense or take a screen to the house. Sutton proved to be fearless across the middle, and showed a good ability to snag balls in traffic, not shying away from big hits. He does a great job of getting upfield after the catch, as he took numerous screens for big plays. Sutton holds massive potential and will only continue to get better. He would be a very good fit at the D2 level, and holds a notable offer from Adams State, and interest from Northern Arizona.
Branson Heywood Branson Heywood 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Higley | 2021 State AZ , 5’11″ 170lbs, Higley HS
Heywood has great body control while showing the ability to adjust and catch the ball at awkward angles. He has done a great job of forcing specific releases when needed. He doesn’t shy away from contact and has shown the ability to be physical after the catch. Heywood is explosive out of breaks which helps him generate notable separation. He is shifty and slippery in open space, and has shown potential to be a big play threat. I was impressed in the pre-season with his junior year tape, and he continued to improve and impress throughout his senior campaign. Heywood holds big potential and projects as a D2 talent.
D’hayven Valentine D’hayven Valentine 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Westview | 2021 State AZ , 5’11″ 170lbs, Desert Edge HS
Valentine transferred from Desert Vista to Desert Edge and had a limited season due to the transfer rule. He primarily played WR and lined up as a slot often. He is a threat with the ball in his hands, and can be elusive and shifty with room to work with solid second level speed to top it off. He does a great job using his speed to get over the top of DB’s and shows solid body control to adjust to awkward catches and keep a foot in bounds. He did a great job running wheel routes and burned defenses often. He did a good job of identifying and sitting in open windows to make himself a clear target.
Harrison Wood, 6’2″ 190lbs, Notre Dame Prep
Wood did an excellent job at X and Z for Notre Dame Prep this season. He displays quick feet for his length with a good change of direction to get in and out of routes. He sets up his routes well to generate good separation and shows strong hands to catch balls in traffic or win contested throws. He’s a smart route runner and does a good job securing the catch while anticipating contact. He shows solid physicality after the catch, and is a willing blocker and frequently stays on and finishes blocks. Big potential for Wood and projects as an NAIA talent.
Capri Hamilton Capri Hamilton 5'8" | 160 lbs | WR Chaparral | 2021 State AZ , 5’9″ 175lbs, Chaparral HS
Hamilton is a precise route runner an would transition nicely as a slot at the next level. He shows active feet and excellent short area quickness. He’s a twitchy receiver and did an excellent job of running shallow/underneath routes and was very effective in the screen game this past season. He shows a nice burst at the top of his routes with excellent change of direction. He’s underlooked due to his size, but has all the tools and athleticism play slot at the next level.
