The event will showcase prospects (classified 18U No-Seniors & 18U Seniors Allowed) from all around the tri-state area looking to ball out in front of a multitude of scouts. We will be in attendance and wish the prospects involved good luck!
In today’s piece, we will preview some of the prospects that will be in attendance as well as provide a list of participants provided by coaches.
Sean McFadden Sean McFadden 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB La Salle College | 2023 State PA – RB/LB
6’0″, 185lbs, LaSalle College HS
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12905449/Sean-McFadden
An athletic linebacker with a compact/tone build to him. Primarily plays outside linebacker in the 4-3 defense that LaSalle prefers to run. McFadden’s a disciplined and strong player who looks to take on his blocks with power, showing little hesitation stopping the run. He times his blitzes well coming off the edge and also does a good job breaking down in open space to make tackles on outside zone runs. He’s a high-motor, high-effort player who cleans up tackles well. Would like to see more pass coverage out of him, the film shows solid closing speed when tasked with covering the flats in his zone.
Darold Dengohe – DE
6’3″, 235lbs, LaSalle College HS
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12970212/Darold-Dengohe
Teammate of McFadden’s, defensive end Darold Dengohe has awesome size for his age. Dengohe isn’t going to beat you with a quick get-off or lightning speed around the edge, he’d prefer to beat opposing offensive lineman with power, which he does well. He shows off impressive upper body strength, which is a must because at 6’3″, it’s difficult to really get underneath offensive lineman consistently. He’s a disciplined player, the film shows he’s often the man left unblocked in zone-reads, yet good awareness allows him to break down and make correct reads behind the line of scrimmage, resulting in a ton of TFL’s. His quick hands allow him to fend off engagement by o-lineman, due to his overtly physical play/presence which tends to catch said opponents off guard.
Matt McGettigan – WR/DB
Germantown Academy
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/13088573/Matt-Mcgettigan
McGettigan has made the most of his reps at Germantown, contributing all around the field. Returning punts or kicks, blocking for punts or kicks or jet-sweeps and screens in the passing game, McGettigan does his part to show off his solid acceleration and solid open-field vision. He isn’t especially elusive but does a good job setting up his jukes well to catch defenders off guard. His contributions on special teams show he could have a future at defensive back, covering ground well when blocking gunners.
Amare Gee Amare Gee 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH University Prep | 2024 State PA – DB/ATH
5’8″, USO/University Prep HS
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/15169458/Amare-Gee
Amare Gee Amare Gee 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH University Prep | 2024 State PA , who has debuted as our 7th ranked overall prospect of the 2024 class, is a stud athlete who does it all for USO. Punt returns, kick returns, reps at wideout, but where the kid really thrives is at corner. He can play press or off coverage and has a nose for turnovers/pass defelctions. I really like the consistency in his backpedal when in off-coverage. He does a great job keeping his pad-level low, keeping his feet balanced and squared with his pads, as well as displaying really good hip-flips. He transitions so well from said backpedal to a sprint downfield. He stays in phase due to his great straight-line, track-star speed. The best part about Gee’s game is his effectiveness against physical play. His size isn’t particularly great, but when you can get to spots early, and manipulate based off leverage the way he can, size doesn’t matter. Want to see him improve at the line of scrimage and at the snap. He tends to start off plays behind wideouts.
Evan Spivey – DB/ATH
6’1″, 185lbs, Germantown Academy
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/13088998/Evan-Spivey
Spivey is one of my favorite athletes on the east side of PA. We hope to see more tape and production out of him for a possible spot on our rankings at some point. Defensive back with a cut-up frame suitable for his aggressive playstyle. Does an incredible job covering ground, flashing raw athleticism from his safety/nickel spot. He plays downhill and with a purpose. He’s a playmaker who loves to punch out balls and force turnovers where ever he can. Germantown puts Spivey in open space on defense which is understandable considering his great versatility, awareness and tackling ability. The film shows some reps at wideout, would love to see more of his hands.
Jamir Robertson – QB
5’10″, 155lbs, Bishop McDevitt (Wyncote)
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/13130847/Jamir-Robertson
There wasn’t too much film on Jamir to dissect, considering he played in just three games this past season. However, Bishop McDevitt likes to utilize the lefty’s legs and keep him on the run where can show off his dual-threat ability. Robertson likes to maximize each play, which can be a blessing and a curse, especially at the quarterback position. I like his overall delivery, there isn’t too much wasted motion on the mechanical side, although he can clean up his footwork and hitch as almost all young quarterbacks can. He displays great lateral agility and foot quickness when on the run. We hope to see more out of Robertson at the event.
Markese Williams – WR/CB
5’8″, 143lbs, Pope John Paul II
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12878426/Markese-Williams
This kid’s got absolute burners! He’s looking to score each and every time he touches the ball. Williams brings position and alignment versatility, showing he can produce at wide receiver, defensive back, running back, and on special teams returning kicks. Any way to get the ball in his hands. Williams’ best trait is his ability to maintain his electric speed throughout vertical routes. He runs angry and wants you to react to his every move which is coming at you fast. He brings the same aggressive and down-your-throat approach on the defensive side of the ball too. He’s often used in misdirection plays behind the line of scrimmage if he isn’t running routes. Getting the ball in his hands is a must.
Leo Hunsberger – RB/LB
5’10″, 175lbs, Perkiomen Valley HS
Hudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12829970/Leo-Hunsberger
A running back with great hands. A ton of usage in the swing/out route game as well as being featured in the screen game for Perkiomen Valley. The coaches trust his hands which is a statement of how much work Hunsberger puts in to catch the ball effectively. The combination of good vision and great play-making ability allows Hunsberger to show off his home-run hitting ability. He often takes passes caught behind the line of scrimmage all the way to the house. His ability to set up his blocking is rare and his film has made a case for him entering our ranked player’s list. His game should translate well at the 7v7.
