Despite the NCAA extending the dead period, recruiting is starting to really pick up across the state of Oklahoma as National Signing Day is in our rear view mirror and the focus has now shifted to the 2022 class. In the last week, ten 2022 prospects picked up offers from the next level. Every Monday, we’ll update you on all of the recruiting news from across the state. From offers to commitments, we’ll have you covered. As always, you can follow us on Twitter to stay up to date from the moment an offer or commitment happens. @PrepRedzoneOK

each picked up offers last week after junior seasons where they ended up on our Prep Redzone All State Teams. Brown was one of the best defensive ends in the state, regardless of class and he was offered by SMU. May established himself as one of the top college-ready quarterbacks in the state and he was offered by Western Michigan. Brown already has a handful of offers but things have been somewhat slow for May. However, May’s recruitment should pick up after his junior film continues to make the rounds and more colleges see what we see, which is that May is one of the better QB prospects to come out of Oklahoma in the last several classes.

all have one thing in common. Each of them picked up their first college offers in the last week. Evans was offered by the University of Chicago, a very prestigious academic school that has a history of recruiting Heritage Hall prospects. Frakes also picked up an offer from a prestigious academic school when Yale gave the Norman North QB his first offer. And finally, North Texas was the first school to offer Union’s outstanding running back. Smith split carries with two other players last year but it was still apparent that he was a special talent at the running back position.

each picked up offers from Georgetown. It’s not very often that you see Georgetown recruiting Oklahoma but they’ve extended a few offers across the 2022 class and in the last week, they targeted two of the better defenders in the current junior class.

tweeted out earlier this month that he was getting close to narrowing things down. He added another option in the last week when Vanderbilt extended an offer for the dynamic Presley. The Bixby junior running back was our first ever Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year after an outstanding junior season. Only time will tell if Vanderbilt has done enough to make the cut when Presley decides to trim his list.

picked up a pair of offers last week when New Mexico and UNC-Charlotte both extended offers. New Mexico has a lot of connections to the Oklahoma area and they are no stranger to recruiting Oklahoma every single year. However, we don’t see UNC-Charlotte recruiting this area very often but Parks picked up an offer from the 49ers over the weekend. Parks already had a couple offers after an outstanding junior season.
