Jordan Gile Jordan Gile 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Mountain View | 2023 AZ : is a 6-0, 190 pound junior from Chandler High School. He is rated the number one quarterback in the state and plays for a team that went undefeated in 2020. Chandler won their conference last December, defeating rival Hamilton High School, 23-21, in the AIA Open Division.
As a 12-year old in elementary school, this dual-threat quarterback was selected by the National Sports Report as one of eight elite youth players in the country and the only quarterback to be named a ’platinum star’ player. “I’ve never seen a faster release and the ball get to the target as fast as it does,” said NSR President Warren Preston for this sixth-grader.
Earlier in February, tuning up for the fall season, Gile led his Redrum team to go undefeated in the Zone Elite 7 v 7 Super Bowl Classic with competing teams from different states. Jordan was the Most Valuable Player for the weekend tournament, throwing 36 touchdown passes with only one interception. Coached by his father, Dennis Gile, Jordan’s team finished 8-0.
As he approaches his junior year, Jordan has already been offered scholarships from Kansas, Missouri S &T, Missouri Western State, San Diego State, and Eastern Michigan.
Richard Stallworth Richard Stallworth 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Yuma Catholic | 2023 State AZ : is a 6-2, 210 pound junior to be at Yuma Catholic High School. As a 15-year-old sophomore last fall, Stallworth threw for over 1,000 yards in his first three games. Against Wickenburg, he threw for 481 yards and seven touchdowns. In another game, he went 14-17 for 428 yards and eight touchdowns. For the season, Stallworth threw for 3,803 yards, accounting for 49 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions. He completed 212 of 321 attempts in the 2020 season.
Stallworth has good pocket mobility, is an accurate thrower with good arm strength and solid velocity. He also can deadlift 405 pounds and squat 365 pounds. Richard’s father, Rhett, is the head coach at Yuma Catholic. The team went 10-1 last fall, losing to Snowflake High School in the 3A State Championship, 38-14. In that game, Stallworth suffered a b broken collar bone late in the first quarter.
This quarterback was Player of the Week in week 3 last October. He will continue to get better and is a legitimate Division 1 prospect. By the way, Stallworth also has a 4.14 GPA.
Devon Dampier Devon Dampier 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Saguaro | 2023 State AZ : is a 5-11, 180-pound dual-threat quarterback at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix. In his first game as a sophomore last fall, Devon threw for 230 yards and five touchdowns and ran for two more. Pinnacle trounced Phoenix Horizon, 52-13. His favorite receiver is Minnesota High School transfer Dorian Singer Dorian Singer 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Pinnacle | 2021 State AZ who had eight catches and three TD’s in the game and even threw a 71-yard pass for a touchdown.
According to his coach, Dana Zupke, “Devon has physically matured a lot over the last year, gaining four-five inches and adding 20 pounds. He has matched that with a mental maturity that is beyond his years. He has become a leader, even as a sophomore, and will continue to get better.” He went from 5-6 and 155 pounds to nearly 6-0 and 180 he pounds as a sophomore.
Devon has a cool demeanor and does not get rattled under pressure. He also has the ability to make throws when the pocket breaks down. He has become good friends with Spencer Rattler, the number one prep quarterback two years ago that played at Pinnacle and now is the starter at Oklahoma. Dampier and Rattler spent last summer working out together. Devon also is the starting point guard on the Pinnacle basketball team.
Brendan Anderson Brendan Anderson 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Mountain Ridge | 2023 State AZ : is a 6-1, 180-pound quarterback for Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale. Brendan was an Arizona Pop Warner State Champion and played enough as a freshman at Mountain Ridge to throw for over 2000 yards and 29 touchdowns. He is a pro-style quarterback with a 4.0 GPA.
One scout likes his upside. “Brendan is on the verge of breaking on the scene. He is a sharp precision passer in all areas of the field. He relentlessly attacks a defense and is a strong throwing quarterback who delivers the ball with a high release point,” said the scout. “His throws are in line with his receivers and he shows good awareness of his receiver pass routes along with ball placement. He has high velocity throws at the short and intermediate-range. Brendan stretches the defense with a dangerous vertical passing game.
“He’s also very quick on his feet, showing good athleticism. He shows considerable poise in the pocket – an athletic quarterback who’s able to do just about anything asked of him. Brendan is also an intelligent quarterback that thinks quickly on the go.” When all is said and done he could be the best quarterback of the class of 2023.
CJ Tiller CJ Tiller 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Rancho Cucamonga | 2023 State CA : is a 6-2, 190-pound quarterback for Williams Field High School in Gilbert. Tiller started as a freshman and in 2020, threw for over 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns. He completed 90 of 151 passes for Coach Steve Campbell. Tiller is considered a dual-threat quarterback and possesses great athleticism. The Black Hawks compete in 6A Region 3. Tiller also has a 4.17 GPA.
Tiller has great arm strength and is a very accurate passer. His footwork is solid for both three and five-step drops whether it be under center or in the shotgun. Tiller is very poised in the pocket and has great velocity on his passes in all directions. He has good timing and reads with his receivers and his upside over the next two years is unlimited. Tiller is clearly a Division I prospect.
