Rankings are difficult, and we’re certainly not infallible. But here’s the good part: Prep Red Zone didn’t stop evaluating the moment the rankings went live.

Here are several pass catchers and offensive linemen we’ve seen who could very well move into the Class of 2022 before their prep careers are done.

 

WALT WADDELL

Position: Wide Receiver

School: Chapman

Player Breakdown: Waddell’s frame (6-foot-5, 200 pounds) makes him an easy play call near the end zone. And he can also separate in the open field. He put up 411 yards and four touchdowns as a junior.

NOAH MCKINNEY

Position: Tight end

School: Byrnes

Player Breakdown: The 6-foot-3, 244 pounder pulled in a blocking grade of 84 percent last season. McKinney is also comfortable lining up next to the tackle or in the slot, a flexibility that will no doubt increase his targets next year.

JOVONN WILLARD

Position: Offensive line

School: North Myrtle Beach

Player Breakdown: The Chiefs’ starting left tackle was impressive throughout the team’s run to the state championship, grading out at 86 percent for the year against difficult matchups. He’ll be asked to be even better as a senior with
