Kanye plays running back in a double-wing offense and cornerback. He will line up as a receiver once in a while as well. He shows quickness but not very elusive. Defensively, he shows physicality. He’s got good speed to stay with receivers. He doesn’t show much tackling on film. Shows average ball skills. Kanye is a guy a good player, but he is a guy that you have to get to camp to figure out where he would fit best.
4. Griffin LaRue Griffin LaRue 6'3" | 190 lbs | ATH Richland | 2022 State PA (JR) 6’3 194 – Richland HS
Griffin is our 77th overall ranked player. Griffin plays wide receiver and cornerback. Offensively, he has a good release who shows to be a good route runner, which does sink his hips. He has average ball skills, shows to double catch quite a bit. He does have some quickness and decent speed. If he plays wide receiver, believe it will be at the FCS level. Don’t think he has the skillset to play defensive back, but believe he has the potential of playing at the FBS level as a linebacker. In a couple of clips, he showed good closing burst and wrap-up tackler.
3. Jay Pearson Jay Pearson 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Sto-Rox | 2022 State PA (JR) 5’11 190 – Our Lady of Sacred Heart
Jay is our 65th overall ranked player. Jay plays quarterback and defensive back. He has good size and a thick body. He plays physical. He has quickness and good speed with good acceleration when tracking down the ball carrier. He is also a good tackler. He also shows to quickly shed blocks from receivers. Jay is a really good player, believe he could play at the FBS level.
2. Devin Whitlock Devin Whitlock 5'8" | 165 lbs | ATH Belle Vernon | 2022 State PA (JR) 5’9 160 – Belle Vernon HS
Devin is our 57th overall ranked player. He was a huge part of Belle Vernon’s success this past season. He played quarterback and defensive back. He had 1,082 rushing yards, 5 interceptions, and 27 total touchdowns. He shows quickness with good speed. He also has the ability to high point with good ball skills. Devin will most likely play receiver at the next level and could be a big factor as a return man.
1. Mehki Flowers Mehki Flowers 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Central Dauphin East | 2022 State PA (JR) 6’2 190 – Central Dauphin East
Mehki, the Penn State commit, is our 5th overall ranked player. Earlier this off-season Mehki transferred to Central Dauphin East from Steelton-Highspire, where he helped his previous team to a state championship. Mehki has really good size with quickness and speed. He is a difference-maker from anywhere on the field whether the ball is in his hands or not, kid can make plays.
